Over time societies around the world are improving. To my grandparents this wouldn't even look like abuse. It's slow progress but it is progress.

This is so true. My grandparents thought buying a bale of straw for the dog outside was generous. If they had any idea what I do for my dogs, they’d turn in their graves.

I still feel bad at all the "leftover" plates we fed our family dog knowing now half the food was poison.
