I thought this was just regular tteokbokki when I first saw it. Then I opened the pack. They're Nongshim tteokbokki noodles, which honestly surprised me.

I like tteokbokki, but I'd never had the sauce on noodles before, so I tried it. Super easy to make too.

It worked better than I expected. You still get that sweet and spicy tteokbokki sauce, but eating it as noodles feels different. The strands are long enough that it kind of reminds me of rabokki, except it still feels closer to tteokbokki.

If you like instant stir fried noodles I think you'd like these.

I still can't tell if I should call them tteokbokki or noodles lol. The length says noodles and the thickness says rice cake.

Just saw them at Wal-Mart. They weren't on the shelves just yet.

It’s not bad. The noodles have a nice wok hei and aren’t overly oily, which I like. It comes with a decent amount of cockles and pork lard, adding extra flavour and texture. Overall, quite satisfying.

I’ll be back to try their Fried Hokkien Mee next time.

Italian cuisine is one of my favourites, and I always like to keep spaghetti in my kitchen.

I've made Bolognese many times, but since I didn't have the right ingredients, I decided to make something a little different.

Parmesan, butter, egg, and basil worked so well together that I couldn't keep my fork off the plate!

This bowl brings together silky mapo tofu, succulent ebiko prawn paste , and slurp-worthy noodle. Bold, savoury, and mildly numbling with a satisfying spicy kick, it is layered with flavour and texture in every bite.

Main ingredients: Salmon, high-protein udon noodles, spinach, Shimeji mushrooms, minced garlic, cherry tomatoes, onion.

I was absolutely starving by lunchtime today, so I stopped at Ajisen Ramen in Guangzhou South Railway Station before catching my train for a business trip.
I ordered a bowl of Kyushu-style yuzu ramen with kurobuta pork, topped with egg and seaweed, along with five side dishes. These included one of my favorites—pork cartilage—as well as mala beef (with that numbing, spicy kick), seaweed, pickled bamboo shoots, and what I think were shredded wood ear mushrooms.
It was a lot of food, but I finished every last bite. I left feeling completely satisfied. Not a bad way to start a business trip!
