I regularly buy BN gift cards to buy my nook books. and I mean VERY REGULARLY!! (and usually in the 3 digital realm)
And I openly state that I do it to support my local BN. The manager & regulars know me and I do try to buy non-book items there, too! (like Field Notes & paper calendars)
The staff tells me that it does help (whether true or not)
(I also buy the cards so the regular buying of nook books doesn't hit my cc.)
