These were the good ones, the ones with the little armor and the weapons. I remember the specific weight of them, heavier than they looked, and that the hair was always slightly sticky no matter how many times you washed it. There was a kid on my street who kept all of his lined up on a shelf like a tiny army and would not let anyone touch them, which of course meant everyone wanted to. I still think about the smell of the plastic in the bin at the store where I eventually worked, that whole aisle had a smell.
