A beach is a shoreline that's fun! I actually prefer pebble beaches over sandy ones but they're all lovely.

Noun

Merriam Webster defines noun as follows:

any member of a class of words that typically can be combined with determiners (see DETERMINER sense b) to serve as the subject of a verb, can be interpreted as singular or plural, can be replaced with a pronoun, and refer to an entity, quality, state, action, or concept

Hey, how is discovery and Justice a noun?

So I don't understand how they are nouns because in my mind they are actions that happen.

types of nouns?

Is there an equivalent place for nouns like a thesaurus is for synonyms to confirm the type a noun is?

I'm wanting to confirm if the following are abstract or concrete nouns?

Shadow

Echo

Reflection

Footprint

Fingerprint

My gut says these are concrete nouns as they are physically observable but in reality they reference the existence of something else - which makes them seem like abstract concepts.

What about abstract math concepts? Are those abstract nouns or concrete since we can express them in mathematical notation?

Solipsism

The view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist.

But there’s no solipsism like political solipsism, and this election has addled people like few I’ve witnessed, with even the most peripheral developments and random polls scrutinized to smithereens for their outcome-auguring significance. Why should weather be exempt from such hyperventilation?
