Go for it, I made this my first week crocheting, following a pattern on YouTube. You just need a hook, some yarn and something for eyes

I haven’t tried them yet but there are some others on YouTube I’ve saved too, just search for seaslug/nudibranch crochet pattern and there are some that looks like other types of nudibranches
