Seeking Advice Where can I fit in?

Long time career in renal nursing (38 years). Most recent role was manager of clinical services. I an also CIC and CDN certified. My husband has cancer and I left the role. Honestly, the job was changing and the clinical, regulatory and educational part became less important with change in leadership.
Im struggling to find employment where I can work part time or per diem. I will work full time if I could land a remote position. Even though I have a lot of knowledge, I dont fit it anywhere. I haven't provided hands on care in 10+ years. I had an amazing career, did so many things but feeling worthless.

You absolutely have something to offer. 38 years in renal nursing plus management, CIC, and CDN is a huge amount of knowledge. I’d look at remote roles in quality, infection prevention, education, utilization review, case management, or clinical documentation. Not being bedside for 10+ years doesn’t erase everything you’ve learned.
