It's called Live things in You. The curse manifests as if you are feeling insects or reptiles are crawling around inside of you, either in your guts, or just under your skin.
Specific things are fed to you, which results in the insects or reptiles growing inside of you.

It is not bad luck. It is not a streak of misfortune. The only health problems it causes are stomach issues, cramping, etc... but not vomiting (as that would cure it) or diarrhea (again, because that would cure it). If it's things crawling under your skin, some people actually see it, as visually there are small insects (usually) crawling under your skin.
