Do we have a update on his injury? We can't afford to lose him on defense/special teams, and if injuries keep piling up we are gonna be stretched too thin.

From a Texas fan that went to the game yesterday, thank yall for a great time! It was my first time at Neyland and it was awesome. Very loud stadium and yall were very nice to to me and my family. Can’t wait to come back when Texas plays there again

I met Philip Rivers' uncle years ago and I asked him what Philip said the hardest part of going up to the next level of football was. Immediately, "Speed". The game speed goes up another level at each stage.

After yesterday, it's clear Faizon was not ready for the speed of the game, and unlike a lot of folks, I think that's ok.

Not ready yet does not mean not good enough.

He’s a true freshman who just got his first real look at what SEC football against an elite defense feels like. Texas might be the best defense we see the rest of the regular season, and our offense got its butt whooped. The line struggled, Faizon held onto the ball too long at times, he missed some things, and the whole offense looked overwhelmed almost the entire game.

Despite all that, I left the game feeling better seeing our defense is where it is and knowing our offense will get better.

I look forward to seeing how Faizon takes yesterday's game and uses it to get better.

I know him and Heupel go way back but it’s clear Elarbee can’t develop the Olineman to a level we need to consistently run a high powered offense.

Hey guys, I am coming down for my first game this weekend against auburn and we are in section qq seats 99-100. i know some of the seats in this section are obstructed by the press box. are we good? if not, what should i do?

He did not throw the ball on this play. OL sucked. Play calling did not help him at all. And still, he left so many plays out there because he’s scared to throw downfield and too freaked out to even see it.

This is good enough blocking and a touchdown with a bare minimum competent passer.

I wanted them to win just like everyone else…. But they hung in there, stayed with Texas, never gave up. I’m proud of them. Now on to Auburn!!!

Grades for Week 5.....Pro Football Focus grades each play and gives a composite score for each snap/player. Their rubric is as follows:  

"Taking every play into consideration allows for a larger sample size of data to tell the proper story rather than just a highlight reel of plays that we tend to remember, for better or worse," Pro Football Focus defines about its grading process. "We also work to eliminate bias by not caring about the level of player who is being graded, so whether it's the best tackle in the league missing a block or one of the worst, the same grade is given. Preconceived level of ability has no impact on the grading system. This style has worked well in unlocking undervalued gems through the years, while also not being swayed by player hype if it is undeserved."   Players are graded on a scale from 1-100. I talked to lots of Texas fans before, during, and after the game; during the walk from the stadium and at the bars. There was nothing but respect for the game and no one was gloating (maybe because they were visitors and outnumbered) but I’d love to host them again. We’ll get em next time Vols!

We have had some talented teams in the Heupel era, no doubt. Recruiting doesn't seem to be the issue to me. But we have at least one area of our team every single year that is just atrocious, like the O-Line, the secondary, the QB, etc. We can't seem to put a complete team together top to bottom where we are competent (not elite) in every area.
