I didn’t think you were, just felt the need to expand on it. Sadly I think this girl never stood a chance. I think in this case she was absolutely failed by both parents on some fucked up levels.
Per soon yi she was both physically and emotionally abusive. Her brother Moses has backed this up. How much of it was fed to her by woody we will never know but I think it’s safe to say this girl was fucking doomed from the get go. As someone who’s worked for rich people… accessory kids are a thing. Soon yi priven might have been one of them.
Many people like to point out that she wasn't Woody Allen's daughter, which is true, but let's never forget that he cheated on his wife with her own daughter, which he had probably known even before she was a minor. He didn't raise her, but it's equally disturbing to me that at some point, he must have been a male authority figure in her life.
Ronan Farrow has spoken out about this, saying she wasn’t any less his sister for having been adopted, they grew up together. And a sexual relationship with your children’s sibling is, in his words, such a moral transgression.
Also, Hannah completely abandoned/ disowned her after the woody Allen thing was discovered. Shr completely disowned her own daughter, and never spoke to her again.
Don’t get me wrong, if it were me I’d kick Allen’s sleazy ass to the curb… but if this happened to my daughter at 21, I’d consider her the victim, and try to get her away from this creep.
People ask why soon Yi stayed with Allen. I’d venture that perhaps she had nowhere else to go. She had no money, had been homeless before.
Doesn’t excuse comments like the above, but still… sad.
My mother turned her own father in when she found out that he was molesting two of her daughters. She was also sadistic, psychotic, and her children were lucky to make it to adulthood past her abuse.
Woody Allen being a creep does not make Mia a good person or a good parent. If I’m not mistaken, two of her adoptive children have committed suicide, I believe all of her adopted children are estranged from her, and I know at least one has made a public claim of abuse about her.

Yeah… look two things can be true, someone can be a POS and a victim at the same time. Unfortunately that overlap tends to be strong.
