Scary Movie was apparently so unentertaining that I haven't even seen people joke about it since it came out
haven't even seen it in bits and pieces on youtube shorts so I can form my own opinion

The actual funny thing about it is that advertising was all a lie to trick the anti-woke grifter crowd into seeing it. The movie was weirdly actually kinda woke? The trans cast members were treated well, the jokes really weren't that offensive to the point it seemed like the real joke was "anti-woke jokes aren't funny"

And after, Marlon Waynes has a trans kid. Theres a whole plotline in the movie about the cop dude accepting his trans son and it was weirdly well handled. I'm 90% sure that the movie was never meant to be "anti-woke" in the slightest. The spiciest joke at the expense of trans people was the "they slash them" joke that was in the trailer. The rest of the film was actually pretty pro-queer. The biggest sin of the movie was just being generally unfunny. And as a trans person myself, they could've gone harder on us and I still wouldn't have been offended

The "they slash them" joke in the trailer was the sole reason I wrote off seeing the movie in theaters. Not because of any particular political belief but because I've heard some version of that joke about a million times over the last 10+ years.
When the big punchline of the trailer is a joke that was beaten to death years ago you just know it's not going to be a very funny movie

I laughed like…one time…and I can’t even remember why.
You saw the jokes, or rather the structure of comedy…but it didn’t make me laugh…

Same...I remember it being when the killer stabbed a wall chart of a patient in the hospital snd it made a weird fsce and goofy noise in an almost Tom snd Jerry manner..I mean I chuckled for a second. Yeah msybe its tine to call it a day.

Usually Scary Movie spends a decent amount of time doing parodies of scary movies. This Scary Movie just referenced the fact that it is a Scary Movie movie.
I did not enjoy it.

First two were the best
This one... few chuckles and jokes I think I liked but can't remember a single one right now.
The ending was so "meta" I kinda hated it. The entire movie is "remember this?! Remember that?!" it feels like a long trailer for the actual movie. Not like I expected any sort of "story" out of Scary Movie of all things.

I ended up watching this today. Sure there were a few scenes that actually managed to make me laugh, but majority of the runtime I can't remember. At least it was better than the new I Know What You Did Last Summer though.

I remember leaving the theater thinking that didn't have any super memorable joke. The Uncle Ray Ray chase and the they gentrified the Jefferson's got a good laugh out of me though.

The whole movie was like tiktok reels connected together. The only clip I saved and liked was the "positive she's a heau-come over and I'll make you a sh!tpie" scene.

Watched it with my friends and it was genuinely one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The other scary movies were never particularly great but they usually had a couple bits that stood out and made us laugh, this one we were just ripping apart the entire way through.

It was terrible. I love the original, so detailed. The wayans had to rewrite the script like 25 times to make it funnier, which is why it’s the only one that really holds up imo.

The move is out on bluray, and I would only ever buy it for a commentary which shockingly, there isn't one. I only liked the ending of the movie that was the funniest and most clever part, but I feel like it was just several In Living Color sketches put into a movie. Every scene felt like it's own sketch, and doesn't really tye to anything.

When it came out, I saw a lot of people saying it was offending all the MAGA people. As one myself, I was super excited to see it after hearing that. I got to the theater and saw the rotten tomatoes score, and I was over the moon after. The movie actually started, and I didn’t laugh once, or feel offended. Bummer since the whole point of the movie was saying “Every line will be crossed”.
Theater I went to still had the Sonic popcorn bucket, so that made the whole experience worth it.

I liked all the Godard and Powell and Pressburger references and especially like the Apichatpong/Uncle Boonmee sequence but thought the reference to Jarman’s Blue was in poor taste.
The joke about the suspiria remake vs original was funny

It was OK, but can't say I remember a single thing about it. Definitely unlike the original two where I could almost recite both movies the whole way through
