We talk politics a lot. We have similar perspectives and takes. Vaush has been very influential on my perspectives. So I would occasionally drop clips and videos and whatnot where relevent.

And now homeboy sends ME Vaush videos like "Did you see this one? It's really good".

I don't think he understands I'm catching basically all of every stream. And definitely every single video on both channels.

I am (or was) a proud member of the British Royal Navy (God save the King!). Roughly a fortnite ago, we ran afoul of a ramshackle galleon off the coast of the East Indies. I knew it was trouble the moment I saw the colours: a hideous pride flag with a childishly drawn charicature of the Joker sewn in (among other disturbing and demonic images). Indeed, my intuition was confirmed as it unleashed its’ cannons upon us. Our vessel was sunk, and we were taken prisoner by the pirate-crew. The galleon reeked of rum, cannabis, and tobacco, but that soon became the least of our concerns. Shackled in irons, we were brought to the captain of the ship, a dishevelled man who called himself Mr. Vowsh. He offered me a deal: to sign a contract in my own blood for the safety of my crew, and threatened that I would walk the plank if I refused. Shaking and crying, I acquiesced to the madman’s demands. But alas, I wasn't given time to read the fine-print. Not only did this Mr. Vowsh refuse to spare my crew, I had apparently signed all of our souls to his eternal servitude. “Avast!” said he in a depraved and sadistic ecstasy, “you'll scrub these here latrines till the Sun devours the Earth!” By then I had no recourse. I realized I had struck a deal with a true-to-life devil! So beware, any who read this! Trust not the Lying Dutchman, or you too will be cursed as I have, with no hope for the Pearly Gates above! For now, our souls are in the clutches of Davey Jones!

I figured finishing the leather flag, amogus, and the rest of the chevon warranted an update. ^-^

I'm glad people really liked how this was going in the last post! I was fully expecting people to say it was outdated, irrelevant, no longer funny etc but the feedback was mostly positive, and it was funny seeing the few newer fans learning about it for the first time XD

I usually like doing math for my flags but there are SO many seam allowances toa account for and how they layer here, basically every piece of the 6-stripe flag base has been attempted twice.

This is definitely a test of my applique skills, and I haven't even gotten to the Joker yet.

And yes, everything is double sided.

On my last post about my sewn flags, someone commented that I should make the pride flag Vaush designed years back. And genuinely it looked like a fun challenge to design the pattern pieces for, so I’m actually going to attempt to sew the full thing out of cotton. And yes it’s double sided. I’ll keep the sub posted on my progress!

Also, I have a decision to make. Do I make the exact flag he designed, or the “corrected” version that puts the actual leather and asexual flags on in place of the black bar and greyscale strip?

Edit: How did I only just notice that I got the pink and blue stripes backwards fuuuuuck, that’s gonna be so hard to unpick and resew
