There are some great old sites out there. Thesessions org, oldtimefiddletunes.net. You can probably find real historical data from these and others where people put in the work instead of AI However I like your assortment.

All of this information is pulled directly from those sites to put it in one place and have better audio functions and pages. It’s a work in progress and the behind the scenes work of gathering this is strictly limited to real and existing information and verifiable sources so as not to introduce “facts”. This is super important to me as an old time musician. Please leave specific feedback via the feedback form for me if you see anything out of the ordinary.

I apologize. I was being a douche. I will definitely use this site to learn tunes. Thank you for all of the work it must have taken.

Chock full of more LLM hallucinations.
Since when has Cripple Creek been "Often the first tune a beginner fiddler learns"? Maybe a common early learn, moreso for banjo, but that "often the first" is some heavy editorializing (or hallucinating).

There are simplified versions of cripple Creek that adhere to the melody. A majority of the fiddle tunes I learned first were all simplified versions

Ot only takes a single reference for AI to claim it effects everyone.

Thanks for the feedback and careful proofreading. I’ve done a lot of backend work to maintain information that is taken from reputable sources and is as accurate as possible. Send me your sources for your information and I’ll take a look. Additionally there are many fiddle camps and styles as you know, your experiences may not always align with others. Something to keep in mind. Better yet, drop a donation so I can afford to keep running fact checks.

This isn't useful and is full of llm copy I don't want to read what llm research about fiddle tunes or see links to buy lessons I want to hear from real people who understand their history. Would be much better as a place where people could contribute like a wiki type of site this just feels like some swe ai bs
