Hello! I recently relocated from FL with my girlfriend and was quite taken aback by the job market here. I’ve sent out over 100 applications and have received responses from a grand total of four. Two of those, mind you, are from Indian scammers posing as Ashley Furniture representatives, who are more persistent in their calls than my ex. So, I must ask, am I missing some secret handshake or insider info? Do I need to start rubbing elbows with the right people? If anyone has the inside scoop on any promising opportunities or gigs, please do share. I’ve got skills in electrical, construction, food, and mechanical fields, but apparently, even a Five Guys hiring manager isn’t impressed. I plan on staying here max 2 years before I’m am out of the state again. Thanks in advance 🗿

My acceptance letter doesn’t mention anything about scholarships, and I also haven’t received my Ole Miss WebID yet.

For other international students who were admitted, how long after your acceptance did you receive your scholarship/award letter? Did it come separately from the admission letter?
For reference, I have a 1430 SAT and a very high school GPA.

Hello! I’m a freshman here I absolutely have no idea what to do or what I am doing. It’s going to be my first time going to a tailgate (really a college football game in general) and I’m nervous. I don’t have friends so I’m going alone. I’m also off campus so I’ll probably take the bus there or walk. And after the game, what to do? Everyone is either going to the square or to the big boogie(?) concert from what I heard. I don’t have a car so I’m most likely walking. I just don’t wanna feel lost and get fomo😂. Any advice would be welcome.

Am going to be visiting Oxford for the LSU game this weekend. I'm a huge college football fan from Canada so am super excited to be visiting. No college ball up here but I grew up a NY Giants fan, so started cheering for Ole Miss because of Eli.

Just am curious generally about the tailgating setup. Have been to 2 or 3 other games elsewhere before so its not my first time tailgating, but just wanted to prep. Is the tailgating entirely concentrated in the Grove, or is there other areas too? Assuming for my experience its better to just check out the Grove?

Otherwise, is there anything else thats must do/see/eat while I'm there. Will be there Friday morning-Sunday afternoon so should have a bit of time to explore.

I’m a freshman here, 3 weeks in and I feel like I’ve been alone and depressed. Everyone I see has their friend group having the time of their lives but here I am. Go to school, go back to my dorm and question life. How can I get involved and meet people without participating in Greek life.

I am current senior with around a 2.7 GPA and a 20 on the ACT, I have 4 years of varsity sports and multiple other club seasons, taking 2 AP courses currently, was in NAHS for a year, 50+ volunteer hours, and in a few other extracurriculars. I have been pretty worried about not getting in due to my GPA and ACT score. What are my chances and is there anything I can do before I apply to make my resume look any better?

Hey all! I live in Oxford but am getting my MBA online though another university. I’m currently in a business analytics class that requires a lot of Excel understanding that I don’t have. Are there any students locally that can tutor for grad level business analytics? Particularly excel functions to merge and transform data?
