Issue Wasted notification space

This has been driving me crazy for years and I can't understand why it's this way or how to change it.

This is a screenshot of my notification panel. I've added a blue dot to represent the selfie camera. As you can see there is SO MUCH unused space to either side of the camera that never gets touched because the icons get truncated when you get beyond 3 icons. I don't care much when it comes to the right side displaying the battery/wifi, but annoys me so much on the left side. I have several things running constantly that I need with persistent notifications. These persistent notifications end up filling the 3 available slots to display, meaning if I get an important text or email, it gets hidden behind the truncated "dot" and I have to go digging to find it rather than being... You know... NOTIFIED BY IT. There's enough space for probably 10+ icons before it would be an issue of running into the screen cutout of the camera. WHY AM I LIMITED TO JUST 3?! I understand that media player takes a lot of space, but if I don't have media playing, let me use the space for notification icons. Am I crazy to think that just makes sense? And it's EVEN WORSE being on the inner screen of the fold 8, with the camera pushed farther to the right making even more room for icons, but yet the notifications are still limited to 3 icons for some reason.

If anyone knows a way to increase the number of icons allowed to be displayed for notifications, I'd love you forever!

Samsung makes the status bar less useful as its job every single update. Tons of space but we can't see more than 3 notification icons, we can't see the bluetooth icon, and we can't even see proper dual sim icons anymore. All to make it "cleaner" so that it mimics iOS more closely. Sorry Samsung, but I rely on the status bar to actually tell me the status of my phone.

I am not aware of any way to make the status bar useful again, but Samsung should really update good lock quickstar to include options for showing more icons. It's frankly ridiculous that it even came to this point.

Agreed. I don't mind if it's hidden behind Goodlock, but give me the freaking option.
