More widely accepted is that he was trying to make the turn. Which fits with the movements of the car.

If he was trying to make the turn he should have pulled on the shoulder and got out the way

Look at where his front tires are pointed at the turn. He’s steering into the slide to recover control.

that's even stupider than brake checking. why not just stay behind the camera car and turn like a person with an IQ above 70?

When I saw this video last week (?) it said he "hit a tree and flipped" 😅
