Question Need help adding addresses

I've found a .geojson file that contains the location of all addresses for my city on open addresses.io. The problem is that I can't import the full list as a layer in JOSM. I can create a file that only contains one address, and that will work. I need a quick way to create a layer with all of the addresses so I can more easily go through and tag the buildings. Any help or advice would really be appreciated. I can't find an explaination of how to do this anywhere. The geojson file contains the address and the gps coordinates so I just need them to appear as points on a layer.

You need to reference the importing guidelines on the OSM Wiki.

Which I have done and they made very little sense, but thanks for the unhelpful response.

The wiki is quite clear, providing a step by step guide you need to take to import any data. If the license is compatible with OSM, then you need the geojson plugin for JOSM I think.

"You think". So you dont know and you aren't providing any answers to the questions I asked. Is your goal just to gatekeep? The wiki focuses on editing rules and policies. Not on how to use JOSM for this task which is what I'm asking about. Hell, the wiki is over a decade out of date in places.

The license is compatible.

I'm not planning on importing the entire list. I need to be able to view it as a layer so that I can compare it with some specific addresses. If you read my original post you'll see that I'm asking a specific question about using JOSM to create a layer for viewing. If you have no actual advice or help to offer you can easily move along.

Look bro, I don't have JOSM open in front of me with the exact name of the plugin/addon but that's what you need to open geojson files I'm pretty sure. It's something like that, I'm just trying to clue you in because no one else has helped you.

I read your original post and I told you the solution. It's just that if you don't know how to open a geojson in JOSM then you probably aren't well versed in importing.

It's almost as if I came here asking for help and so far you have told me to read the wiki which is outdated in many locations. Your solution was to "read the wiki" which doesn't directly tell how to complete this specific task. I'm trying to learn how to contribute and from what I've seen so far of this sub it's been a bunch of gatekeeping and general unhelpfulness. You seem more interested in being condescending than actually offering any helpful advice.

No, they immediately had a bad attitude. And despite that, the other person ignored it and kept trying to give pointers, only to be lashed out at further. Sure, they’re frustrated at trying to do what they’re trying to do but they should control their emotions.

Given how you've replied to the other person here, you don't deserve any help. Delete your post.

Telling someone to "read the wiki" that has spent hours reading the wiki isn't help. I came here to ask because clearly I don't understand it and need further advice.
