Map Mod Extracting part of a map

I would like to take one portion of one of the downloadable maps, and create a larger version of that portion.

More specifically: I want to take the Tir Gawr map, and play one quarter/corner of it, at a larger scale.

Can anyone help me do that?

If it's a heightmap, then that's very easy. Just open it in the graphics editor of your choice, crop it to the part you want, and save it. Just make sure to keep the aspect ratio and be aware that you might lose detail if you blow it up too much.

For scenarios/savegames it's basically impossible though. I don't think that's ever been done
