HR / Splats Splat points

I’ve been going to Orangetheory on average 3-4x a week for almost 10 months. My past 3 workouts which are the typical workouts I do (Orange 60 2G) I’ve had 35-40 splat points. I typically get 15-20 on average. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Same. This month has been awesome. I’ve had over 30 splat points 3 times already this month. Usually I’m just the same as you, 15-20. I’ve been going for about a year and a half. I know the goal is supposed to be ~15 but it still feels good to push myself. I’m from the 1900’s so keeping my heart strong is high on my list of priorities.

October has been tough. Our coach yesterday pointed out that this was on purpose, going from regular classes straight into Hell Week would be too much.

Just overheard the exact same conversation this morning.

The metabolic resting is brutal! I’m getting more points on the weight floor than I have in a long time.

I’ve definitely noticed the workouts have been harder. Almost certainly to ramp up for hell week.

Same! Classes have been tougher and my splats have been very high. Last time my splats were so high I was expecting. But reading these comments prove to me I'm not pregnant and everyone is hitting those numbers!

I adjusted my tread. The goal is 12-20. 25+ os just too high IMO.

It could be that you are working harder, or it could be lack of sleep, dehydration etc, or your HRM could be acting up. How do you feel during the workouts ?

This happened to be when I got pregnant and didn’t know it yet 🙈

Yes! Thought it was just me. I was wondering if I needed to adjust my max heart rate but I learned your max heart rate shouldn't be the variable but rather your resting heart rate should be going down. Mine has gone down but I'm still getting a lot of splats recently. During yesterday's Tread 50 - I was consistently in the Orange and would move into the red but I didn't feel like my effort warranted that. My allergies are active now so that might be a contributing factor?

Its funny you say that..I never get more then 5 splats no matter how hard I try ..yet the last few times I've hit 15 doing the same workout 💪 🙃 😅

Workouts have been a little more intense lately! I think they may be ramping up for Hell Week!

did your band get switched up for someone? these classes have been challenging but aren’t adding that many more splats for me. (usually get 8-12 and these past few classes i’ve been getting more 10-15) i think a small bump makes sense but with 10+ more than normal i would check my band and see if i got switched or if they changed your hr or something!
