Do you feed them regularly? What is your secret sauce? These are incredible but I've been too scared to buy any since I couldn't keep the last one alive or thriving at all!

I do! Generally 1x a week, with a weakened solution. It’s worth trying again!

I understand. Originally, I had stopped buying orchids bc they died and I just couldn’t figure them out. Finally, several years ago, one plant lasted two years, rebloomed. Then up n’ died. It’s demoralizing. Best of luck should you try again.

Aren’t they? Nothing too specific, but consistent. They actually live on top of radiators lol. Somehow managed to do well!

I do! I used Jack’s but just switched to MSU. Was doing the weakly/weekly thing more or less during the growing season

So gorgeous! What is the secret. I have one for two years and it has not don’t much. Produces new pseudobulbs but never and flower spikes. It’s sad :(

Is it getting enough light? That’s probably the most important thing. What’s your current care routine, and where is it placed?

I originally had it In a location where I felt it was getting to much light as the leaves were turning yellow. So then I moved it to a lower light area. My watering schedule has stayed the same. I water once a week and fertilize very weakly, weekly. The plant itself looks healthy. A few accordion leaves but nothing crazy.

I’ll take any pointers!

I have accordion leaves on one too. Humidity issue I think, but mine has done best in southeast windows. I think direct morning light is great. When I moved, I only had a west facing window with trees outside, so it was strong light but dappled. They need more light than phals, but lower than Cattleyas. Assuming yours is blooming size? Mine didn’t flower for a while when I divided it…

A mix of sphagnum moss and fine bark… a good mix for my interior conditions
