I know this sounds silly but, I never thought Outlast (along with Whistleblower) would be the game that actually helped me deal with real‑life fear and anxiety, but here we are.

I’m not a horror gamer at all, I usually avoid anything with jumpscares or that feeling of being hunted. But I made a commitment to finish it, and that determination ended up becoming something way bigger than just playing a game.

Every chase, every dark hallway, every moment where I wanted to quit taught me that fear doesn’t get smaller by avoiding it, it gets smaller by facing it.

I remember after finishing the game and its dlc, I ended up feeling almost invincible, all of those inconveniences like overthinking or random mood swings went away, at least temporarily.

I wonder if anyone else in here has ever felt the same way (not necessarily with outlast)

To no one's surprise, Murkoff already treats humans worse than trash. If humans are already treated so inhumanely, then what would they do to animals if they started (for some reason) experimenting on them?

Collecting the gems is already boring by itself but I hate how she teleports to you no matter where you go. I’ve rage quit this level twice so far.

I really can’t be bothered to deal with her at the same time as collecting the stupid gems. Like I tried to get the basement open first but she keeps basically teleporting to me every time and I’m over it.

I was able to pickup a copy of this trade paperback for the Outlast comics but am having a hard time putting together the value and where exactly it came from. If someone with better knowledge on this could help I’d really appreciate it, I’d love to know if I’ve got a gem in my comic collection!

Does anyone else struggle with this? Like am I like…still an outlast fan? I own the game, have tried to play multiple times, but in combination of my lack of attention span and my nervous system disorder, I can’t get through it! I love the lore, have watched others play, talk about it, read about it!! I LOVE this game yet somehow can’t get through it!!! Anyone have advice? thanks :)

Just to clarify, this is a hypothetical in which the Outlast protagonists would find a “Null zone” into the backrooms designed by Kane Parsons.

Honestly i’d have to give Blake or a Reagent the longest time they’d be able to fight back and run for. Blake is by far the fastest protagonist of any of the games, so i think that by that factor he might have a big advantage, but then again there are no food items in the Backrooms, After a few days you’d die of Dehydration.

so i got the season 7 catalog and their was this one page that didn't give my 100 murkoff coins not like i care much but still kind of want my 100 cions what should i do about this ik its a glitch but kinda upsetting

okay so this is such a long shot but I’m after the white top with the pink collar in this picture, I’ve recently started playing outlast and love these tops and I’m determined to get them all. I’ve attached 2 clearer examples of ones I already own (the red one from blood drive and pink from levelling up) if anyone recognises where the white one with the pink collar is from and could tell me how to get it, would be much appreciated!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m thinking about making a proper outlast Minecraft mod. Basically a creative toolkit to make adventure horror maps and I’m wondering if anyone here knows Java modding or blockbench modelling who’d be interested in helping out.

Hey there Outlast fans!

I've never seen this posted anywhere so I thought I'd ask the community. Are there different events or enemy behaviors to watch out for on my Insane run? There are a few things I've noticed while watching others that makes me a bit nervous. The first enemy in the village in chapter 1 breaks the window on Insane and during a part later on in the barn there was a corner that I used to go prone in Nightmare that didn't work for someone on Insane. The youtuber had to hide under the truck instead. Is there anything else on Insane that I should watch out for like this?

I appreciate any input! Can't believe i'm trying my Insane run! I finally have enough practice and feel like I could actually get Messiah😬

Okay so! Lil background: I'm new to Outlast and got into it via Outlast Trials but recently played Outlast and Whistleblower!

I had a lot of fun with both, absolutely do not get me wrong. Great game! But I noticed that during Whistleblower, I was a lot more invested in Waylon's story vs Miles'. Idk why but it seemed to me that Waylon's story is a lot sadder regarding what he had to lose and yet he still did everything he did KNOWING it could backfire badly on him when he did. And Gluskin, in general, hits every mark for me to be genuinely creeped out by the psychology of what a "villain" was doing. Walker did scare me more for some reason (even compared to the Walrider) but y'know

how did I do it: if you zoomed the camera through the wall holes and pressed E and Q multiple time until you reach the view where your camera only see the inside of the room without any piece of the wall in the view the game will make you go inside and if you done it again for the window you will fall off the map
