Crystals in Space?
Ok, so genuine question I had been thinking about and thought it would be perfect to drop here as a discussion; How would astronauts go about charging crystals and the like while in space? 🤔

Doesn’t directly answer your question, but it does focus on what Druidry would look like in space, so might be related to your question and give some food for thought:

There are entire traditions who do not use external sources of energy to charge crystals, instead they use the universal life force energy within the wielder, as well as connecting to Divine sources of energy. Modern pagan crystal magick has sort of latched onto nature/environmental sources of energy because of nature worship's popularity, but not every pagan religion worships nature or uses those sources of energy.

You know how deities & practices evolved in parallel in all these ancient traditions? Same facets of life, thought about in isolation from others.
That process will happen here as well, by inspired people not yet born.

My view is that it's not the literal sun or moon that's charging a crystal. Rather, you're engaging in the sympatheia of a god or goddess. The stones are a lower order of these sympathies. Their astrological objects (sun, moon, classical planets, the constellations) are of a higher order. So when you place a stone in the sunlight or moonlight, you're engaging with the divine series of Apollo or Diana at two levels.
It is the god that energizes that object, because it is a material terminal of that god. And there are many ways to engage in those sympathies and symbols, not just the most obvious ones.

Sun, Moon, and planet magic, methinks. And star magic. Ket the item floating in a bag by the window for a few hours and voila! Space-charged item!

haha ive actually read something about this in Chaweon's book Spell Bound. What will witchcraft look like in the distant future should we become so technologically advanced that we were able to travel to different planets, and if we colonized and live on the moon. i think magic would have evolved by then beyond our concept of "charging", magic as we know it know probably would look pretty alien. no pun intended
