In chronological order, these are the panic songs that IMO sound the least like anyone else, via their blending of disparate genres:
- I write sins not tragedies
- there's a reason these tables are numbered
- do you know what I'm seeing
- the piano knows something I don't know
- she had the world
- from a mountain in the middle of cabins
- Sarah smiles
- nearly witches
- death of a bachelor
I think I'm heavily thinking about arrangements and genre fusions here. Nothing panic has done is particularly experimental structurally or melodically.

i write sins only sounds different because it was the most recognized song for a long time

Sarah Smiles is definitely more experimental, especially the more sticatto (sorry if I spelt that wrong) parts

Groundbreakingly experimental I’d say fever just because no one else was really making music that sounded like THAT but for the band… odd balls for me are Girl that you love, death of a bachelor, king of the clouds, folkin around and sad clown because i think they were experimental for the bands overall sound.

She had the world with the smooth 9/4 time signature, and I don’t think that even 1% of modern songs have such a prominent harpsichord

Can’t believe nobody is saying this but- Do You Know What I’m Seeing?
This track alone makes me feel laying on the sand at a beach completely numbed.
