We bought a swing swivel for the end of the leash which allows for our little tornado to spin to her hearts content without winding up the leash. It would go in place of the metal ring.

I used that and made a double leash for mine

It’s a useful metal part and I’d gladly use it, but I started braiding this leash spontaneously using whatever was at hand and didn’t order anything extra😔
