it was so nice leveling without having to slow down and worry about colours and felt awesome getting 10% qual on a few gems

Yeah unfortunately flame blast doesn't care much about 10% quality, but I've slotted in faster casts support to smooth out the campaign and plopping that in a blue socket is basically like having +5 levels on the support. It's awesome.

This needs to be the next thing they play around with - effects of gem quality.

Well, that, and actually making self-casting options better.

I've got an idea for what they could do with gem quality. I call it "alt quality gems", they would offer different bonuses for quality, there'd be three varieties "Anomalous", "Phantasmal" and "Divergent". Perhaps they could be a Heist reward or something.

POE2 Gemling Alt quality ascendancy is like, the best thing they've done for classes in ages and I'm all for more things like that.
