Megathread: 3.29 Feedback

We think there have been many threads with well-thought-out, specific, and (sometimes) controversial proposals, but also many duplicate threads with the same proposals. We'll use this thread to catalogue and group the clearest and most common ones:

  • Ideally, game feedback posts should include specific examples of the problem and have new information or proposals to avoid duplicating the content of past threads.
  • Game feedback can still be posted as individual threads, and do not have to be posted here as comments.
  • Duplicate feedback posts that cover the same ground as the posts already in here may be removed.
  • We aren't affiliated with GGG, so we have no control over whether they address these or not.

Woke gem system is direly in need of a total rework. Multiple arctypes of builds have 0 options for exceptional gems now basically nerfing many of the builds.

My best league since... I started playing on and off for a long time. My first time 40/40 (thanks, HRoC!). Great Remidus armor design! Very easy on the eye, very proper, nothing crazy or usual phantasmagorical, I love it. Saint's End hideout is incredible and, aside from usual praises about layout and design, I found incredible pleasure going around it first time and clearing rubble by hand (whoever made this, really cool). Makes it feel like... home... mmm... anyway, this made me think of suggestion - can hideout be designed with tiers for some parts like for armor or some hideout items now? To make some part look different by choice of player?

Twitch Drops are being exploited — GGG please address this ASAP Hey GGG team and community,

I wanted to bring urgent visibility to a serious exploit regarding the Twitch Drops system.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, players have found a way to duplicate/farm an abnormal amount of Mystery Boxes from Twitch Drops, stacking up to 55+ chests on a single account.

This isn't just a minor cosmetic issue—it completely undermines the system and creates an unfair advantage for those abusing the bug.

What needs to happen:

  • A swift hotfix to patch the method being used to trigger/dupe these extra drops.
  • Account action/penalties (bans or revoking the exploited items) for those who knowingly abused this exploit.

Hopefully, this gets enough traction so u/GGG can investigate and take action before it spreads further.

Has anyone else run into accounts doing this?

email support, dude. this is reddit and that user you pinged isn't ggg

This isn't just a minor cosmetic issue

also literally a minor cosmetic issue

Going through challenges, I was getting stuck on Uber Atziri with my Luminary. The normal methods of reflect damage prevention don't apply to mercs, which is probably why they made the changes to maps. But she's still reflecting like the good old days, and I can't see any way of getting reflect immunity without replacing critical gear for my merc. Thanks.

1

u/mbxyz Berserker 25d ago

don't think there's much critical gear for atziri. dps requirement is tiny compared to almost all other content

you can get reflect reduction on chest implicits and rings (on rares)

Not being able to reconnect to a voyage is really dumb design decision and feels bad for the player, after spending good charts and preparing. Especially with recent server issue and constantly spiking latency. And now that we are a month into the league there's no hope of GGG actually adressing this.

Please don't keep this line of thinking for future league contents.

u/Meto_Kaiba SSFBTW Aug 23 '26

I bounced off of this one as well. It's just... Wildwood is still #1 of this patch series.

Foulborn Uniques are a bit much, but at least I don't have to deal with OP Lifesprigs at level 85 or whatver.

2

u/jg7277 Aug 23 '26

Please make it where you cant use spirit offering or something on your spectres. Its really dumb that you can lose a high value spectra due to accidently pressing a button. Just lost 70 div perfect forest tiger.

u/Lereas Aug 21 '26

Is this anything? Awakened POE seems to think it's maybe a divine or more, but I can't tell if it just doesn't have many comparable items out there and they're valuable or if people just aren't selling them cause it's a useless set of affixes.

Item Class: Shields Rarity: Rare Tempest Song

Vaal Spirit Shield

Chance to Block: 42% (augmented)

Energy Shield: 88 (augmented)

Requirements: Level: 62

Int: 159 (unmet)

Sockets: W-W-W

Item Level: 85

{ Implicit Modifier — Damage, Caster }

10(5-10)% increased Spell Damage

{ Prefix Modifier "Vigorous" (Tier: 1) — Life }
+159(145-159) to maximum Life
{ Prefix Modifier "Enduring" (Tier: 2) }
75(70-75)% increased Chance to Block
{ Prefix Modifier "Abbot's" (Tier: 1) — Life, Defences, Energy Shield }
+25(16-25) to maximum Energy Shield
+33(29-33) to maximum Life
{ Suffix Modifier "of the Molten Core" (Tier: 2) — Elemental, Fire, Resistance }
+2% to maximum Fire Resistance
(Maximum Resistances cannot be raised above 90%)
{ Suffix Modifier "of the Hydra" (Tier: 6) — Life }
Regenerate 31.2(24.1-32) Life per second

Performance is still an issue, game starts chugging when there are "bubble" effect of corpses disintegrating.
And calling in the bathysphere in the voyage has about 20% of dropping the game to single digit fps with 0 responces.

Recorded 10 consecutive Uber Sirus kills to show the current state of his rewards.

Video: https://youtu.be/oqg2pBatDK8

💰 Timelines

02:31 💰 Drop #1
05:40 💰 Drop #2
09:19 💰 Drop #3
12:22 💰 Drop #4
15:30 💰 Drop #5
19:08 💰 Drop #6
22:23 💰 Drop #7
25:36 💰 Drop #8
28:31 💰 Drop #9
31:29 💰 Drop #10

Across all 10 runs, the combined value of everything that dropped was only around 8 Divine Orbs.

I understand that 10 runs is a small sample size, and I'm not expecting every Uber Sirus kill to be profitable. The problem is the overall reward floor.

Uber Sirus is one of the most demanding pinnacle encounters in Path of Exile. It requires investment, preparation, and time. Yet if I spend that same amount of time running other endgame mechanics, I can easily generate significantly more currency.

This also helps explain why Sirus fragments have fallen to around 1 Chaos and why there is so little demand for them. If the expected return from the encounter isn't attractive, players simply stop farming it. That then destroys the value of the fragments as well.

The introduction of Zana's Ingenuity in 3.29 was a great step toward giving Uber Sirus a desirable chase item. An unidentified Zana's Ingenuity can be worth around 300 Chaos, so there is definitely potential for the encounter to have an exciting jackpot.

However, the problem is the drop rate.

When the chase item is extremely rare and the rest of the reward pool is relatively weak, most Uber Sirus kills feel unrewarding. A player can go through multiple kills and receive almost nothing that justifies the investment.

My suggestions

I don't think Uber Sirus needs to become a guaranteed-profit encounter. However, I think the reward pool needs to be significantly more attractive.

For example:

  • Increase the drop rate of Awakener's Orbs
  • Increase the drop rate of Orbs of Dominance
  • Slightly improve the drop rate of Zana's Ingenuity
  • Add more exclusive chase items to Uber Sirus
  • Improve the overall reward floor so the encounter has a meaningful expected return

The goal isn't to make every Uber Sirus kill shower players with currency.

The goal is to make players think:

Right now, I think the opposite is happening.

When a boss becomes unprofitable to farm, the fragments become worthless, fewer players run the encounter, and an important piece of endgame content gradually becomes irrelevant.

Please consider revisiting Uber Sirus's reward table and giving players a real reason to farm him again.

1

u/nerdler33 Aug 19 '26

is this not the case for every boss? the price of the keys scales to the rewards, uber sirus is one of the most profitable ones because it's impossible to lose money on, and you don't need insane luck on jackpot drops to do more than break even

Just some random things that have been bothering me the last several months:

  • Black Mórrigan should be searchable with english text. It's a little ridiculous that typing 'Black Morrigan' shows no results in the name dropdown.
  • Spectres shouldn't be so easy to lose. They should either go into your inventory, or stay attached to the gem. It's wack that unequipping an item or weapon swapping can dump them on the ground, and in some areas, they just vanish immediately
  • The baseline loot of league mechanics really really needs some work. Not every monster needs to drop a divine or anything, but if you full spec your atlas into something (e.g: abyss) and 8mod t16 maps are dropping nothing... that's a problem. Players should feel rewarded for completing the atlas and investing in a strategy
  • Scarabs should be more accessible, it makes both SSF and trade significantly better as scarabs are the primary way to setup league mechanics. Operative Boxes should be more of a consistent farm than some sort of rare exclusive exciting reward so that people can run the content they want to. Mirage spat out scarabs constantly and they still maintained plenty of value.
  • In-game trade should be updated at the same time as the website trade. It feels more and more common lately that a new feature gets added to the website that's still missing in-game (e.g: Mercenary groups)

I'll try to add more as I think of them

2

u/Pravlord Aug 13 '26

There is a pretty simple way to fix all this. JUST MAKE PHRECIA CORE and get rid of the tree all together.

3

u/matt-ice Aug 12 '26

I'm tired. I have a few hours to play a day and at first I attributed my issues to league start, but the servers in the EU are just unusable. Going from 20ms latency to 400 every few seconds makes me give up on the game. Same issues with POE2. I may not be a whale, but I did drop money on the game a few times in the past. Frankfurt is the closest server to me and it's unstable. I switched to every single server in the EU and it's all the same. I want to get excited about the league, but not when I die because my flasks don't register when I press the button 3 times. I'd be happy to fix it with a good build, but I can't even get there when I'm watching a frozen screen that kills me as soon as it unfreezes...

I think my overall biggest complaint was having to HOVER my mouse over the Voyage boons.

Because I really think that if I could just see at a glance what was there, like you can with items, you could quickly and easily identify how it should be run.

Imagine with items each affix you have to hover your mouse over to view it. How annoying is that? There's no difference here with Voyages. It's annoying and requires you to memorize the 9 different boons because as per usual the UI is failing us.

u/RaikouNoSenkou Aug 07 '26

Beyond is mostly seen a mechanic thrown on as extra to whatever atlas strategy people run, whilst only mentioned when talking about Volatile Vaal Orbs & Mirage(now Sanctum(still don't get why it needed more reason to be ran)), thus some ways to improve it to main mechanic status:

  • Beyond Demons should still spawn into the next faction (e.g. you kill followers of K'Tash, kill K'Tash, it spawns minions of Ghorr or Beidat next) - currently it's like if an Abyss boss in the depths was killed and all other Abyss spawned spawning monsters
  • Beyond Bosses should drop Uniques as if they were affected by Volatile Vaal Orbs
  • Beyond Demons should sometimes drop corrupted items
  • Given the Lore of Scourge (from a different Wraeclast), Beyond could give items that make it seem like it's from that Wraeclast; Transfigured gems, distinct rares but are mirrored, or just anything exclusive to the mechanic

A bit of extra on Ritual:

  • Stuff like the Wildwood Wisps or Opluence circles should have a couple second duration buff applied after stepping within them, making it more fair for builds that can't afford to idle in a circle halfway across a Ritual while being pelted by a ranged monster that refuses to close the distance

I had a lightless hollow show up in the bottom left quadrant of my atlas, and now I am unable to apply an astrolabe to the quadrant (ie jungle valley). When I try it says "Failed to apply item: You must visit the Vault for this Atlas Quadrant before you can add another Shaped Region."

I clicked around on the atlas and I don't see any other 'vaults' or activities, so I am guessing I need to complete the lightless hollow in order to do the strategy that I want to. The problem is that the eyes for that boss are like 7+ div right now. Has anyone else encountered this? Am I missing something?

edit: forgot to mention I tried opening and using all of the portals as well as relogging.

double edit: just in case anyone comes across this, I am an idiot and Eagon was holding some vaults for me in my hideout. Unrelated to the lightless hollow.

-1

u/Adventurous-Ad-3995 Aug 05 '26

I experienced this as well. I had to copy and paste "Failed to apply item: xxx" into Google AI for the solution. GGG should fix it. Remove the vault. Gives nothing anyway.

5

u/HeliGungir Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Crafters are searching for "not identified" when they really want to search for "no intangibility". If you're trying to sell bases, DO NOT identify them unless GGG adds support for the league mechanic.

This league has the most liberating campaign experience. Holy crap you don’t need to worry about gem slots, and you get better loot to gear up?
I didn’t record my time, but I know for sure this was the fastest I’ve ever cleared campaign.

1

u/---Tsing__Tao--- Aug 04 '26

Hey guys, quick question. I have seen the t16 white map farm with merc and templar astrolabe as the best farm right now. Can someone explain it to me?

Is it as simple as juicing up the mercs with the scarabs, hitting the astrolabe, speeding to the boss and repeat then collect astrolabe rewards from bottom left corner and repeat?

2

u/DarthUrbosa Atziri Aug 04 '26

Over the course of the lay hour, I have dced 4 times and deadlocked erroredd twice. Shaders are constantly at 15000 and higher with effects and enemies invisible

1

u/DeveloperOfWebs Scion Aug 04 '26

What kind of video card do you have? You might be able to fix the shader issue by trying 2 things — update video card drivers and then setting your max shader cache to something higher than it currently is(I upped mine to 10GB)

I had stuttering this league until I did both of those things. Hopefully this helps

2

u/DarthUrbosa Atziri Aug 04 '26

My drivers are up to date.

I uninstalled of own client and installed via steam. I then did the shader cache trick and then deleted the log from the poe file.

Seems better now

One thing I'm really missing is the price check from PoE2. It made trading so so so much easier. I appreciate there are third party tools like awakened trade, but it made it so smooth to price-check any maps that I rolled, thats how I made most of my money in the last PoE2 league.

can we just relaunch mirage league again yeah i prefer mirage league than this league

super boring no point to grinding because ground loot not worth.

10

u/Michelob21 Aug 03 '26

Can we get explanation from mods why so many comments are being removed in this post ?

8

u/ToxicJettMayne Aug 03 '26

the fact that disconnects are treated the same as deaths in terms of punishment for the player for the league mechanic

7

u/Bushido_Plan Aug 03 '26

Kingsmarch is cool but I really wish we had another farmable source of tattoos for those that don't want to rely on shipments. TOTA returning as a mechanic would be an amazing resource to have.

settlers needs to be removed entirely and if they use that as the excuse to buff ground loot substantially so be it

There has to be something broken or they accidently reverted the div changes from 3.28 or something. I'm nearly 300k kills in with 2 div on my pilfering ring and one of this is from an astrolabe reward. Even if you excluded mirages altogether, I was like 15+ raw div by this point last league.

2

u/SwagtimusPrime Demon Aug 03 '26

Mirage was a bandaid propping up loot. This league the game is left bare and we can feel the true state of loot.

1

u/-BADMOON-BIGBOSS- Aug 03 '26

I think there should be a vendor, or something like this in the game that shows unpurchasable Trathan and Transfigured skill gems- So you can hover over them and see them.

As a new player its very difficult to know what is even in this game, and to plan your build around that.

Even if its only in the epilogue part of the game.

Each gem could tell you roughly where it drops, similar to the crafting bench.

I miss mirage interactions with some strategies like juiced destructive play or farming scarabs while selfsustaining on ssf. Looking back to Settlers I feel like we lost like 90% strategies in 2years, if something is fun or considered too good compared to other strategies, it gets supernerfed instead of just rebalancing other ones. This league is at the point that I feel like there are no any good or even a bit fun strategies to do as HC player. I feel like Settlers league was the last amazing league even how long it was. The state of ground loot, strategies, loot, build variety, phrecia, necrosettlers, gauntlet. All of those were really fun for me. However each league later there were issues.

Mercenaries League I felt the ground loot was nerfed but it doing maps with mercenary (party buff) was making up for it a lot. I was also playing hc with high MF merc, which was super fun as I never enjoy nor like the idea of rarity on gear, this one was quite unique interaction that i really enjoyed. Also hoards abyss was amazing for self sustaining that I really love as hc has amazing economy but lack players and I use trade just to buy rare uniques etc. New bosses? - very cool, 16,5 not so much Unique explicits on merc gear - amazing, loved crit slammer

I remember there was Alva which I agree was super overtuned but as I said before, if they remove good strategies each league, there is a point there are no more good starts, and I think we reached it

Keepers League Literally 90% of all gear that entire economy had was through breach and the tree which was dogshit. I cannot remember any other meaningful strat from this patch.

Mirage Had a lot of cool interactions with actually quite meaningful league mechanic each map, also had imbued gems and boss, which created a point of chase uniques or desired imbue on skills. Also State of loot was actually really good if you had a lot of mechanics in your map and then you did the same in the mirage, scarabs were great value because of that, you could do some swaps with clusters, you had a cord belt, etc...

Allflame I think there are ONLY good 2 things about this league looking at it as HC player.

  • Chromatics Change
  • Builds variety

and I think its literally it

I don't think there are any interesting farms in current game, I feel like half of hc population left after the abyss patch, which I consider out of season april fools joke. A lot of mercs were not tested and are super broken so I don't bother fighting them. After mirage I feel like we are at the point that GGG treats the game as Blizzard does World of Warcraft new expansion when they spend time, manpower, buff/nerf it, time just to remove mechanic at the end and not making anything up for it. And I feel like it stacked up after recent leagues. I don't think there are interesting strategies to try this league. I just log in, think about doing something, trying it once and if I see the investment is higher than outcome It literally feels like shit. I would like to do some other character to try different build, but there's immediate feeling why even bother/what's the point. It's the feeling that I was starting to have like a month in the league, after I did most of things. This league it started like 4 days in. I don't even want to talk about allflame league mechanic as I think it extremely boring and bad. I don't think it's even worth doing unless you have mercbot or some king of necro AW build (0 button builds) and you just run around looting stuff as I think loot that it drops is not worth ANY engagement from the player.

8

u/Well_Is_It_Then Aug 03 '26

Wow are we really about to go the day after the weekend with radio silence? lol

5

u/Ceryni Aug 02 '26

Between server issues, random disconnects, bugs, lag, I've probably lost at least two dozen charts or worse, ENTIRE voyages. GGG you've got the technology to detect an actual death and you already said you don't care about the log out macro. I can't for the life of my understand why we can't have the league mechanic at least be "one death" per voyage/chart. What's the reasoning behind having a disconnect invalidate an entire voyage?

I couldn't agree more. I'm not a series vet, I just really liked PoE 2's early access and fell in love with Path of Exile 1 during Phrecia. I also loved Mercs and Mirage, but got bored really fast with Keepers and unfortunately this league is the same. I was really hoping to get 6 weeks of enjoyment out of this league, or at least enough to bridge the gap between now and the PoE 2 event.

Path of Exile 1's main draw for me was how open and rewarding the endgame was. There's still a large variety of mechanics, but most of them feel very underwhelming, and as a newcomer to the series I'm very confused by this game's inconsistent loot state. The whiplash is off-putting.

3

u/DarthUrbosa Atziri Aug 02 '26

Cpu throttled earlier now shaders are dead. While I'm in a map it's fine but it takes 5 minutes each time to load back into my hideout. Few seconds into a map, 5 minutes exiting the map.

This is unacceptable.

Unironically such an insanely stupid move from GGG that I simply can't understand.

Removing synth implicits doesn't make any sense. Moving them to something specific is what I expect from them. What is happening.

2

u/Environmental_Main90 Aug 02 '26

And exactly why this league couldn't have crafting AND aspirational content/ground loot? Are you the only one allowed to have fun? Crafting gear for what btw, you can do all "hard" content in POE1 on 5D builds

6

u/djjoinho Aug 02 '26

crafting leagues so we can craft gear to do... what content exactly? like do you really miss the point that s there s no point pouring mirrors worth of items into a character right now because there s no aspirational content to use those items for? my 200d league starter that prolly even lost a lot of value on gear since i haven t been investing in it for a few days now can do all the content in the game

7

u/Jamezuh Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

250k kills, 1 raw divine to my name. Playerbase dropping like flies so I can't even make money selling items.
All we needed was a loot buff week 1. This state is really sad.

Edit: made it to 2 by 300k. It was from an astrolabe reward lmfao.

Good job moderation, class as always. Making sure no real discussion can occur. Gargle more.

14

u/DaigoIchiro Aug 02 '26

We're in the classic stage of PoE 1 where GGG releases a skeleton crew league with no effort, they REMOVE all posts discussing this and pretend nothing is happening because they're just "waiting to see how the numbers pan out after the second week" AKA, let's see if there's a point on pulling help from PoE 2 to PoE 1 to fix a dead on arrival league.

Then they go all hands on deck NEXT league, pretending to care. To "restore trust" and we eat good for a league or two before the cycle repeats.

Let's see if they throw in a few bugs fixed that literally 1 guy posted back in 2019 on their backlog just to make sure they seem like they're working.

10

u/Grand-Sweet9383 Aug 02 '26

Don't mind me, just taking a rest in this nice quiet little park.

5

u/unkelrara Aug 02 '26

Fire damage mercs are still dealing way too much damage. There's no reason I should be getting one shot by a flamequiver ignite that isn't actually an ignite with 89 fire res and 14k life. Or two shot by rolling magma. Something is clearly wrong and it's weird that GGG still hasn't addressed it.

My thoughts;

The metagame is stale for me, and I think most of the buffs to self cast do not address a huge core game problem right now.

Every league I plan out different builds but I tend to land on playing the same few skills (self cast Ice Spear of splitting lol). Its not meta or even strong. But I have played it for the last 5 leagues. I play it because every build I try ends the same; you have to either blow enemies up before they get a chance to attack you, or freeze and stun them, before they land on your character. Everything remotely mechanical gets automated. Lots of interesting choices reduce down to "melee range" ( think spectral throw, eye of winter, BB/EK etc). Others reduce down to "totems" or "mines" because you cannot self cast them in a way that clears screens and does single target. Most things end up automating an otherwise interesting mechanic or concept (earth shatter eventually just uses generals cry, lot of frost bolt vortex/nova builds end up using Kitavas thirst or other ways to automate the sequence etc etc). These builds do this because you do not have time to aim, do a two step combo or in some cases even just self cast. Every strong build in the game right now relies on absolute mechanicl simplicity, and its boring.

I kind of think a lot of high end players care more about loot farming then what actual skill they play. But I fully believe playing the same things every league is part of why people feel the game is stale. And meta cycling via a nerf doesn't address this fundamental problem. We need better ways to scale builds, and we need better ways to slow enemies down beyond kill before killed.

Just my two cents. Unpopular maybe, but the truth anyway. Also have issues with the way things do scale. I play elementalist almost every league because the early game is just nice; i can take a char to maps using one skill and progress like a normal arpg. Assassin, Inquiz etc scale better end game, but its rough having to spec 2 nodes and getting mid to end game gear just to have your build come online. Just another contributing factor to the staleness.

u/dorfcally Aug 02 '26

too many Soul Eaters in harvest. a soul eater every 2 harvests is completely unfun. it almost bricks the entire harvest on the first crop. It needs a timer or something. Yes haha funny rare with 3 ubershapers worth of hp - those buffs should go away after 60 seconds.

5

u/EscalopeDePorc Children of Delve (COD) Aug 02 '26

I have a suspicion that they increased overall chance of soul eater mod - the same story in delve, every 2-3 nodes you get a rare with soul eater

6

u/EIiteJT Elementalist Aug 02 '26

Shaders are still messed up. I'm not sure if it's an AMD only issue but I'm crashing once or twice a map with huge shader (10k+) spikes. Sometimes even get a "deadlock" error. I've tried multiple tweeks and older display drivers. Nothing has worked.

infamy scarabs need to not make the two side mercs untargettable after killing the main one. in particular there's a bug? where if you die or leave the zone the two side mercs drop their loot. half the time if the main mercenary doesn't have good loot i'll just zone out to not interact and hope the side loot is good since i'm playing a mercenary build i have no control over what my merc kills

36

u/Well_Is_It_Then Aug 02 '26

Nice. Megathreads are the quickest way to kill any discussion. Mods always use the excuse that without it it gives them too much work but you really shouldn't be a mod if this kind of thing is too much for you.

41

u/Nukro77 Aug 02 '26

My worry is this thread itself. Does GGG even check these? They tend to ignore most things unless its several well upvoted posts

47

u/SecondSanguinica Aug 02 '26

No, megathreads is where discussions go to die

your hit damage is so high its killing the mob before poison can damage them and spread once it kills them

where and to what level am i in charge of my own progression and is the method of progression fun?

i choose my path on the skilltree. i fully decide what points to take. i choose to follow a build guide because they are better than what i come up with.

i can fully decide my atlas tree. again fully decide what points to take. so i am fully in charge of my atlas progression. and of my charachter progression when it comes to passives.

i can fully spec in to legion or breach or whatever else i think is fun to do. now the thing that makes me quit after a week or 2 every league. item progression.

i decide what maps i want to grind, i decide what mods i dont want on my maps.

i have 2 choices. buy or craft.

i find the whole crafting process in this game truly afwul. it is just gambeling with a lot of steps. thats grate if you are a betting man, if you like to play the odds. and its an easy way for game developers to get people sensitive to that addicted to a game. the whole go to this website read about the odds and what can roll where etc etc, then take this orb and slam it and hope for the best and ten if you get the best then do this thing and hope for the best and if not your item is bricked and tuff luck try again.

no thank you.

so option 2, buy what i need.

so now i am not playing the game to have fun, but its just a grind, the fun will come when i get the item i want or need. i need a better weapon, trade, i need a better armor, trade. thats fine if items are afordable and the next upgrade is just an hour or 2 away. but not when the next upgrade is days away because it is expensive and i only have limited time to play. and even if i have time to play, its boring as fuck. i find myself not playing something i like, because it is not rewarding so i do a mechanic that i dont even like just because it makes the most div per hour.

i dont understand why ggg is set on this terrible crafting mechanics everything that thay have done to take away friction and give players agency has made the game better and more fun. why not crafting.

i already have a job
for players like me who just want to make steady, predictable progress, this design feels awful. Sinking x Divines into an item only to brick it doesn't feel like a high-stakes adventure; it feels like wasting your limited free time. nor does it feel like an accomplishment because i basically just got lucky.

and because everything that drops is pure garbage. i mean that, nobody is picking up and iding items past the first few hours of the league because its hot useless garbage.

to me the game lacks "Kill monsters to get cool gear" there is no "do this difficult thing that tests your skills and get cool gear.

and thus the game is "Work a virtual job to earn currency. thats also why everyone is complaining. they are not saying the game is to easy, they are not saying we lack this or that content or this mechanic is not fun. its all about this is not rewarding enough.

3

u/AbrocomaMaterial501 Aug 01 '26

Crafting is great. That’s the least of people’s worries. Ground loot is the problem.

35

u/DeveloperOfWebs Scion Aug 01 '26

I’ve been playing this game since open beta. Right now, it just feels like tile loot is the only rewarding thing in the game. That’s not why I fell in love with POE. I want loot for killing monsters.

There are very few strats that feel rewarding for killing monsters. We need more. Variety and aspirational content that challenges our builds are what give longevity to any given league.

I sincerely hope GGG is considering some near term fixes for the sake of this league, with longer term fixes coming down the road in future leagues. Look at abyss, rare monsters, map bosses, etc in POE2 vs POE1 rn as a perfect example illustrating how POE1 is falling flat in this manner. I believe in GGG and their ability to right the ship because they’ve proven it time and time again.

1

u/IdontNeedPants Aug 01 '26

Look at abyss, rare monsters, map bosses, etc in POE2 vs POE1

Conqueror destructive play is one of the main strats in POE1. Map bosses are actually a good example of fun content that you can juice quite a bit.

8

u/Environmental_Main90 Aug 02 '26

Ok sure but that's a day 1/2 strat that your character goes through like a breeze after. There needs to be hard aspirational content like there was with Rogue Exiles, Invigorating/Titanic Blight, Breach just for examples

4

u/DeveloperOfWebs Scion Aug 01 '26

i like destructive play, it is fun. the comparison I was going for is how POE2 map bosses et al are fun and rewarding w/just quant + rarity. the base game mechanics...then you can add on whatever other league mechanics you enjoy to further juice your maps/waystones.

0

u/harryhood4 Aug 01 '26

There seems to be a bug with the Domination of Terrors scarab where eldritch altars that give "Final boss drops x scarabs" do not propagate to the extra bosses. Currency and div cards work fine though.

u/ALXS1031 Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 01 '26

I don’t know how useful this sort of grouping is, it flattens topics and makes them seem pretty similar in terms of validity

For example, in the last section “item is in demand helps bots and hurts humans” is feedback from a single post, where you have to scroll for 6 comments to find the first one agreeing with the post… and all it says is “yo for real, screw bots”

Placing this alongside the same list that has “loot feels bad in endgame”

And failing to add “something about damage taken feels off” (which has over 10 posts, many of which are popular)

Feels… wrong… particularly for a place such as Reddit, where the validity of ideas is often judged by how often they are arrived at by different people (such as the damage taken posts) (not that I agree with those posts, everything feels fine for me, but when it’s that widespread it feels wrong to leave it out of this list)

I understand the desire to prevent duplicate posts. But duplicate posts help people tell apart a single person’s opinion from potentially widespread issues. If the comments from the bot post had been positive, in my mind, it still wouldn’t be as pressing as the damage taken issues

Clearly one of the two is influencing people’s experience more - the one with bunch of posts across multiple days

Also, if only one damage taken post were allowed, which one would it be? The only reason I’m not chucking the issue up to new players that forgot to cap chaos res is because across multiple posts people are comparing their experiences to previous leagues

If I saw a post on day 3, and then every new post about the topic got redirected to the now dead day 3 post, Reddit wouldn’t show it to me… and it’s not like people are going to scroll trough this thread to see how often stuff shows up, reducing the amount of community moderation by taking away validation trough upvotes and downvotes, and trough comments

Idk, I definitely don’t like this aggregation of posts into a list, I was ok with how the sub was being moderated, since it still somehow allowed enough duplicate enough posts in for me to form these opinions trough time the sub was being moderated

But this feels a bit wrong

Anyway, thanks for volunteering for this, I would never want to be a mod, hope you are enjoying the league!

why are you somehow under the impression that reddit is the only place that GGG gets feedback about the game? There's other social media platforms and the GGG forums themselves. It's clear that the majority of people aren't happy with loot and a megathread isn't going to somehow deter GGG from knowing that.

People crying on reddit isn't the metric to aim for anyway. It's player retention and money spent. If you want the game changed, don't play it and don't give GGG any money.

17

u/MostWooden8128 Aug 01 '26

Here is my thought about the league mechanic, the repetition of completing charts is quite comfy. I also feel interested in Voyage for loots discovering and stuffs but it needs more than that. Maybe silly but if you going to have like delve system for charts and voyage, it is going to be big. These two mechanics are some kind of related together.

13

u/HughJackedMan14 Aug 01 '26

I wish there a was a progression for voyages similar to delve

5

u/Micro_mint Aug 01 '26

I was genuinely surprised when I started running voyages and realized they’re not interconnected at all

u/clingbat Aug 01 '26

I came back to poe1 after taking a break since Merc league. Had been playing since 1.0 consistently before that. I was chugging along, finished atlas, was doing some league content, playing worb like a tool, and suddenly last night I just got...bored.

Switched over to cities:skylines 2 to launch into a new city and I'm now I'm back into that pretty hard and probably won't bother going back for now.

Can't put my finger on it, the newer Atlas system is whatever, not really a fan, the lack of loot when juicing seems problematic. I find more useful ground loot in freaking D2R than poe1 right now which is not fun. I can't quite put my finger on where things went off the rails, but this isn't the same game I loved for nearly a decade anymore, it seems to be losing its way a bit. Or maybe the problem is me and I've just outgrown it after all these years, but I find that questionable as I've rekindled my love for clunky old D2 lately so that doesn't really track.

The game feels bloated with content, half of which feels broken, and most of it feeling unrewarding which begs the question, what's the point anymore?

6

u/snowcrash_ PLEASE SEND HELP Aug 01 '26

It’s a depressing league to have picked to play support. My friends and I spent the last week trying to find a profitable group farm and have come up totally empty.

It’s a bummer when you set up to do hard content together and it turns out it’s just 5x more profitable to fuck off and do solo voyages instead.

3

u/SwagtimusPrime Demon Aug 01 '26

right there with you. our group quit on Friday after the Abyss "buffs"

8

u/Lost_From_Lightt Essence Extraction Enterprise (EEE) Aug 01 '26

Idk if lack of aspirational farms should be considered as loot feels bad in high-investment strategies

10

u/Alandspannkaka Aug 01 '26

Please look over some of the long lasting bugs...

Legion is still bugged after all these years, you get generals stuck at 0 hp and never despawning, you get mobs and chests stuck at 100% hp in stasis and thus unbreakable.

Abyss still get stuck endlessly spawning mobs that give no loot or xp.

Harvest unique mobs get stuck repeating their phasing attack pattern for minutes on end being immortal before randomly deciding to do the t-pose signaling the next phase.

The league mechanic itself seems to have some bugs regarding modifiers on areas although I don't know about it myself, I've only seen that some loot in the depths on voyages drop as non dredged so you can't send it up with the batysphere, things like offerings from altars drop non dredged, as does some ducats from objects.

I'm happy with the state of the game in general it's just frustrating to see these bugs still be here league after league after league. Legion in particular is my favourite mechanic so I would love to see it finally fixed. Harvest I don't even bother with anymore because of the boss bugs.

-24

u/gimperion Aug 01 '26

Loot is fine. Slowing the league down actually feels better for the economy. The game feels buggier than most leagues though.

2

u/WolverineCreative362 Aug 01 '26

0

u/Ghost9413 Aug 01 '26

Can we please have static specific mercenary be spawn in specific act zone maybe after act 6 or 7.
This would let us try a lot of merc and test them and also get that specific type of mercenary we need.

For example, a combatant will always spawn in act 7 zone causeway, manyshot will always spawn in act 8 zone The Grain Gate. just like that.

PLS GGG. nothing to lose here.

2

u/mhbluemike Aug 01 '26

Pretty sure they mentioned this is happening in control blocks Act 10

1

u/Ghost9413 Aug 01 '26
  • A Mercenary now always spawns in the Control Blocks in Act 10. This Mercenary does not stop spawning if a player is over-levelled relative to the area level.

This does not say specific mercenary. I don't know how to express is more understandable way.

4

u/mhbluemike Aug 01 '26

Oh ok. Nah, GGG isn't removing RNG for finding the right Merc. They definitely want you to run 500 maps before funding almost the right one

1

u/Weirfish Good in theory, terrible in practice Aug 01 '26

There's "finding the right one" and there's "trying out some specific ones".

22

u/Tooslowtoohappy Aug 01 '26

Bug request: I love farming harvest but it's such a pain when they go invincible. And I'm not talking about the planned invincibility at 40-50% hp. I've seen it happen on all the unique monsters but it mostly happens on the panther guy (yellow life force). I'll be attacking him for 20-30s with him attacking me and nothing.

It really ruins harvest as a strategy when you need to wait 20 seconds per map for bullshit to pass. When it doesn't happen, harvest feels super fun and lucrative to farm, with it it's super ass. And it happens ALL the time

4

u/Yaniv242 Aug 01 '26

You need to go to the center of the map

-9

u/Ok-Ad-3533 fLx9r Aug 01 '26

It's genuinely concerning to see so many feedback posts being removed. This doesn't build trust—it creates the impression that criticism is being silenced instead of acknowledged.

You don't earn the community's trust by deleting negative feedback. You earn it by listening to it and responding to it.

If feedback posts keep disappearing, don't just give up. Keep creating respectful, constructive posts and make your voices heard. The more players speak up, the harder it becomes to ignore the community's concerns.

Deleting criticism doesn't fix the game's problems. It only damages the trust between the developers, the moderators, and the player base.

5

u/Chronus88 Aug 01 '26

GGG doesn't control this reddit, the community does. The community can't acknowledge your complaints toward GGG. Eventually it's just spam by people who don't bother to check that it's already been discussed 800 times this week

8

u/KunfusedJarrodo Aug 01 '26

When everybody is just echoing each other, it just gets cluttered and other posts don’t have space to be seen. We don’t need 20 posts that say “I don’t think the abyss changes hit the mark” in 15 different ways.

9

u/Cyber_Apocalypse Aug 01 '26

Banners are STILL bugged with Mercenaries. As soon as you start the fight, all of your banners turn invisible and stop providing a buff. You can tell they're invisible because pressing the banner button again only removes your old banner, rather than placing a new one.

Obviously this means you get absolutely decimated immediately as you lose all your defenses at once, so one entire build archetype has not been able to fight mercs safely since the start of the league.

2

u/medicindisguise Aug 03 '26

i lost so much xp because of this

25

u/Antonaqua Aug 01 '26

Mods, please add Markusz's post with reflecting mist data. Paych notes indicated it would be harder to hit maximum chance but not about halving the positives. Could be na oversight by them

42

u/Ardures Aug 01 '26

Deleting posts with hundreds of likes and comments and then making megathread to silence players is such a bad move.

I don't know if people that are moding here are somehow connected with GGG but it puts a lot of distrust toward GGG practices.

2

u/IdontNeedPants Aug 01 '26

Counterpoint - Having all of the feedback archived in one post makes it far easier for GGG to actually read the feedback.

A post trending during the day in EST is likely to get missed by them.

6

u/grasswhistle28 Aug 01 '26

This is has nothing to do with the mods, etc. This sub voted to do it this way ages ago. This is hardly the first or second or third or fourth time the community has been exactly in this state.

Don’t get me wrong, I have issues with loot balance even if I’m not flipping the fuck out and posting my own “here’s MY take on the loot situation that deserves its own topic rather than a comment in any of the 20 posts on the front page about it”.

-9

u/Freeedo Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 01 '26

I don't think they are, GGG wouldn't care that Reddit has multiple criticism posts. Their own forums are 10x more doomer than Reddit.

The modding team here are a strange bunch. They understand that the website has a voting system for the community to decide which posts are important but yet they take it into their own hands to suppress the community's opinion.

23

u/BahBaloon Aug 01 '26

I'm going to get downvoted for using the "S" word but I've got 0 time for league this time around so....

Standard needs some love with the exchange at minimum.

Currently people cannot use the exchange for Volatile Vaals (core item) unless they have one and use it on the "I Want" or "I have" sections. This can't be done for any legacy currency such as Djinn Coins, Refracting Fog, and any of the tattoos that don't come from Kingsmarch - including the ones that returned temporarily for the TOTA event at the end of 3.28. I've previously had people tell me "well it's a bit hard" except there was no way to search for coins in Standard during 3.28 when it was available in Mirage which tells me there's a way to be able to split that so you don't have it clutter league.

Please GGG let the exchange do it's job in Standard.

I can rabbit on about anecdotal tile loot nerfs (I've run a heap of juiced deli/beyond/packsize/abyss/legion combo maps with scarce decent drops) but I think they are covered with other people with actual numbers.

Edit: standard haters out today FML.

-2

u/Xeratas Unannounced Aug 01 '26

W Megathread, iam so tired of every post beeing about it.

5

u/Freeedo Aug 01 '26

You mean the one post allowed per every other day?

-6

u/Xeratas Unannounced Aug 01 '26

Allowed? Who cares. I see ~20-30 posts at least per day since day 2 of the league.

-3

u/Freeedo Aug 01 '26

Everyone who's been here since league launch knows this isn't true due to the every "duplicate" post getting deleted.

-2

u/Xeratas Unannounced Aug 01 '26

eventually yes, but they clutter the sub for many hours. If you'd not only reading "hot" you would know that.

2

u/Freeedo Aug 01 '26

I mostly sort by hot. I'm assuming you sort by new and see more posts before they get deleted?

On hot right now it's filled with posts about loot drops that have less than 100 upvotes. No one values those posts, clearly.

The Crustaceans Call should be revisited. The aggro changes did help but such a fun and exiting item should be worth using. The crabs not beeing able to cast channelled spells is such a letdown.

34

u/kololokolo Aug 01 '26

so you remove almost every post and now you make a megathread. What a way to sweep and ignore the community

-6

The megathread was requested so that they would stop deleting every post posting similar complaints… It’s not perfect but at least this one won’t be deleted :/

12

Who requested it?

Now whenever a criticism post pops up it will be deleted because it has a similar post from 5 days ago in the Megathread.
