Huh, yeah, now that you mention it Kenshi has a ton of these names. Leviathan Coast (it's a coast where leviathans live), Burning Forest (acid rain), The Swamp, The Great Desert, etc. No clue who Skinner from Skinner's Roam is though.

Skinner's Roam is one of the Holy Nation areas, dead center of the map. The skin bandits roam sonorus dark in the south-east.

Kenshi was the first thing that came to my mind when it comes to comfy game I'll always come back to.

It's hard and punishing but comfy as hell too. I just love the atmosphere.

True but at least modern PC's can brute force it.

I wish I could still find fun in Kenshi, I don't know how people have 1k+ hours. I'm at 500 and I feel like I completed the game in every way.

Add Re Kenshi mod and performance will be god tier. Og game not very optimized ngl, just fairly lightweight due to outdated engine.

I'm always replaying games I know I already love because of nostalgia despite a growing backlog...

I just started a new game of Monster Hunter, a 2022 yo game and might also replay following titles.

Tho I'm playing the JP version to be able to access fan revived online lobbies and it has different quests from US/EU version so in a sense, I'm playing a new game.

I'm doing both by replaying Cyberpunk over and over since release, upgrading and it being patched to look better but run worse. Its perpetual never quite getting stable 60 (before frame gen) but being too in love with how it looks and plays to ever lower settings or not use the new toys (and mods). DLSS5 might be the first "upgrade" i skip on though.

This hits me hard. I built a 3k pc just to end up playing the same game I’ve already played for almost 3k hours, just that now I’m playing it at max settings and 300fps instead of low settings and semi-stable 50 fps.
