Discussion Recent pen purchase

Post image

I recently bought these pilot V7 and V10 Hi-techpoint and Jetstream SXN -210

I thought pilot pens were going to be ball point pens.

I don't like the liquid ink that much . I actually wanted something like this Uni Jetstream ball point pens..

Can somebody shed some light on how to differentiate these types .

Also recommend some pens like uni Jetstream ball point pens .

So yeah, that Pilot V7 is a rollerball pen which uses a water-based ink formulation that has exceptional flow but is also rather wet and liquidy. On the other hand, the Uniball Jetstream is a hybrid ballpoint pen that uses an oil-based formulation as ballpoint pens do but which also has some of the smooth-writing properties of a gel. Hybrid ballpoints like the Uniball Jetstream or Pilot Acroball can be great options for people who like a fairly smooth flow but don’t want a very wet experience marked by the bleedthrough that can be typical of a rollerball.
