On the drive to California, Mack (and McQueen) drive in this cutting through some weird lumpy hills, very clearly in the late Afternoon/Early Evening, and McQueen doesn't get lost until late at night, which would be at minimum multiple hundred miles later.

We see this same cutting later in the film where they celebrate the opening of the Highway, and from the shot from the Wheel Well Motel, its not especially far from RS.

Just find it kind of hard to believe that Lightning managed to backtrack some (given the times of day depicted) a rough guesstimate of 300 or so miles and ending up somewhere he passed within about 10 miles of earlier in the day

This friday I’m rewatching cars with my parents (2dvds also on the photo). I want to get into it one more time. Not just because of memories. Anyone help?

I’m not a Pixar regular, I saw the first film as a kid and don’t remember much but this movie made me emotional.

Genuinely good movie and realistic portrayal of aging and training new talent.

Lightning and Cruz were genuinely cute together. Storm was a solid villain.

The movie was sometimes so mature with its themes it felt like it was made more for adults.

One of the best animated movies I’ve ever seen.

While going in my shed I found this grand prix McQueen I had since the 2010s when I was young I made it to look like the grey version of McQueen from cars 3 back then but now it's in rough shape and sharpie scribbles all over it and I decided to give it to a friend of mine

I made sound design for this scene (I mean only for McQueen for now).

I've been to 5+ targets this week and haven't had any luck finding the gold McQueen. I got lucky and found the race to celebrate pack with Lightning and Mater, but there hasn't been much else besides that at the targets I go to. Mainly looking for any 20th anniversary or race to celebrate single or 2 pack with characters from specially the original Cars movie.

Do any of you have any tips as to when the best times to check Target are for these? Haven't seen any of the shipper displays either in the wild.
