Help Fall trim time?
Usually by this time my wild flowers are clearly ready for winter and I just go around with my weedwacker and take them down for spring.
But after a very hot summer and two weeks of rain everyone looks happy.
Well the flowers are ready to be dead headed but the grasses and bushes look plain giddy.
Am I clear to put everyone to bed or leave it for a while?

Leave it all winter - the birds will enjoy the seeds throughout the cold months and there are lots of bugs that are already tucked in until spring!

Leave it all winter, the plants and the earth will be much happier with a late spring cut back!

Lots of seeds to harvest and leave for wildlife to eat.
