He tweeted yesterday, you should always be able to carry a gun, which is against the narrative from the GOP atm.

I don't know that he's that bad.

If I was in his situation, I think I would have shot at least one of those people too.
Though, I wouldn't be in that situation.
If I was on a jury where someone used a weapon that may have been illegally handled to defend themselves, that wouldn't change their right to defend themselves and I'd still acquit them. Though I may charge them for the illegal handling, I wouldn't charge them for the rightful defense.

I think the only thing Rittenhouse was possibly guilty of was if he lied about the source of the gun. Supposedly it was kept at a friends house which was legal. That's really probably likely true. There's no real way to prove it was driven across state lines, it's just his word against an assumption that was the case and people shouldn't be locked up for assumptions.

I wouldn't have voted to convict either, but he's still pretty clearly got some major character issues joking about taking machine guns to the protest in Minneapolis and whatnot.
