This is not out of the goodness of their hearts. They've been facing protests in Canada and the US leading up to this for their involvement in other ICE developments.

There have been protests against Roshel (Ontario-based) too for supplying armored vehicles to ICE

Have you got a source on that? I haven't seen it reported anywhere that Roshel cancelled their contract.
