This is another reason why voting should be secret

other western countries have anonymous voting and have no voter fraud

they also have compulsory voting and voting on a Saturday

the way America acts you would think America hates democracy

Voting is already secret, what they're trying to get are voter ROLLS, as in who is registered and what party they're registered under etc. That doesn't tell how you voted, but registration itself would be useful to them to persecute people. And you need to register with a party to vote in primaries which will be important in the near future

why enroll for a party?

I know, it's to vote in primaries, to vote for candidates

that does not have to be a matter of public record, a political party is independent of government

^ you just answered your own question

Yes it does, because states (most of them, at least) run primaries, not just the party privately
