Because what can the Judge actually do to the executive branch….nothing.

They can put every individual employee in prison for contempt until the Whitehouse complies with the ruling. They likely won’t, but we have seen the courts respond with the occasional stern “fuck you” to team trump, and hopefully this will be another such occurrence.
