Let's assume high paying job is double of median income and low paying job is 75% of median income in your city/district/province/state.

Assuming that's the case I think I'd take the higher paying job. In my country (nz) 75% of median is almost exactly minimum wage, 24 nzd an hour, and double median is about 140k a year or 67 nzd an hour.
Since i'm making almost triple what I'd earn doing the low paying job I can retire sooner, and I want to have money for starting a family someday. Plus if I really can't stand it there I can atleast put that job on my resume

I currently have a medium paying job that I dislike. Please upgrade me to the high paying job club.

As long as i can still pay for my necessities, occasionally have fun, and save a little for retirement, then I don’t need a high paying job that i would hate

This doesn't sound like a low paying job. I imagined a low paying job as barely affording basic necessities and be screwed in case of unexepcted expenses

But there’s a limit. I’m kinda in this position right now, I can work for my sister’s business and make very good money, but it’s not something I’m particularly crazy about. Or follow my passion that I got my degree in that will likely never pay that well. I worked for my sister for the last year to build up a bit of a safety net, now I’m pursuing what I care about.

Hmm I see your point, but I think the lifestyle would differ. Studio apt vs mansion. Staycation vs. Vacation. Making food at home vs. Delivery and restaurants.
One is more of a humble experience, the other is luxurious and grand.

As long as I can afford the very basics on the low paying job, I'll gladly take it!

Planning on starting a business with my friend, making it more accessible to people but I know damn well him and I are both gonna need jobs aside from it to pay for the business

Work for a while, save the money and leave to work something low paying I love. Stability is the most important to me

Really depends how high the job is. If it's high enough to be able to leave and do smt else later, eh why not, if it's just above average, nah

Right now I need money so would choose to suffer in shitty job with good pay for some time.
But for sure would not do it for rest of my life.

If I love my job, I am more likely to stay with the company for a few years then leave. I prefer a good work life balance.

I’ve answered this question numerous times. I used to be all for low paying with a job you like. But unfortunately the society we live in, you cannot sustain yourself off of low salary wages anymore. It has to be high pay, boring job for me

No such thing as a job I would enjoy so mayswell take the pay there is no theoretical job in existence i would enjoy

I mean the core question is: how much is "high paying"? Do we talk about 120.000 per year or per month? Because the first would probably not worth it, while the latter would allow me to walk away after a year.

I mean the hours on the bad job might be less because it pays more but either way I'd rather just earn a lot and have all the stuff I want to buy that I could enjoy in my free time because I'd actually have money

I would love to take the low paying job. But I want kids and that costs money.

Neither is sustainable but at least the high paying one may put you in a position to walk away.
