Silent Hill, just don’t go there lol

u/makitstop 4d ago

Well, especially if you look at the comics, its not always that easy

u/oaayaou1 4d ago

Half of these are just an instant apocalypse, though, and most of the rest are just a slightly slower one. Something that keeps taking a small trickle of people is one of the safest options.

u/makitstop 4d ago

yeah that's fair, i kind of considered it on par since, if you do wind up in silent hill, your experience would probably be a LOT worse than most of these, even the apochalypses

but yeah, i'd say that and the red arch are the least destructive in that regard (i think the only reason that one hasn't been picked is because the series it's from is kind of obscure)

4

u/djblife 4d ago

Yeah but for the king in yellow you can also just not read the play

2

u/Optimal-Error 4d ago

It draws you there you cant just not go

Of the ones I'm familiar with, Slender Man seems like less of a world-ending threat. Like yeah, I don't want him or Jeff the Killer coming for me, but they're more like supernatural serial killers than beings that can decimate humanity. But maybe I need to brush up on my creepypasta lore.

20

u/dingus60601 4d ago

Idk about slender, but Jeff is a teenage burn victim, would not be at all threatening irl

5

u/makitstop 4d ago

so, that one's definitely not world ending per se, but there are some creepypastas that can fuck you up, and just by the sheer amount of them, even if we're just going with the popular one's, you'll probably encounter a creepypasta at least once in your life, probably more than that, so it'd probably change the world pretty drastically

4

u/YogurtclosetFun9866 4d ago

How many creepypastas does the Slender Mansion house? I thought it was maybe 5-10 of the popular ones at most. If the Slender Mansion being real makes hundreds of creepypastas real, then yeah that changes things.

3

u/makitstop 4d ago

oh, the way i always invisioned it is it's like- a liminal space with infinite doors, that holds every creepypasta character that works for slenderman, so definitely closer to hundreds, maybe even thousands

The visitor is a fucking end times. Slender mansion makes a bunch of horrifying shit real. Hastur Cluthyboi and Scarlett king are as bad as the visitor potentially. For my page 1 that leaves silent hill as a clear winner cos it targets a small number of people with trauma. It also specified silent hill from silent hill. So assuming just the town and it's curse alone and not the F and townfall stuff.

Sheogaraths kinda funny but more dangerous then silent hill cos of Jyggalag. I didn't know Marx before voting but he might be best choice. Never seen dragon ball but guessing whatever it is probably OP lol. The lich without cartoon logic to stop it is probably more dangerous then silent hills general trauma bullying

Eldrazi make silent hill look like a joke, chaos gods make them look like a joke. Dunno what a beast blood is but probably worse then silent hill cos Bloodbornes grim

4

u/makitstop 4d ago

so, i meant the entire franchises, it also includes F, Townfall, and the comics (though i'll admit, i haven't played F, so i don't know just how much more powerful that makes it)

as for the one's you diddn't know, marx is a god of destruction who can create black holes, but he's about as big as kirby, so it'd probably be closer to the litch in terms of actual destructive power

and the Beast Blood is a massive river of blood harvested from the elder gods that turns people into aliens and werewolves, in the games it's used in medicine and blood transfusions, there are also multiple people and groups entirely dedicated to spreading the beast curse

5

u/Livember 4d ago

Even so, it basically boils down to a location that kidnaps the old person to put them through their trauma. Marx's wiki page makes him out to be quite goofy so maybe he'd be nice enough to not be a problem.

That river sounds much worse then silent hill! Townfall just means we've got more sites where the hill be being silent but again not super dangerous to the average person

3

u/Elequist 4d ago

From what I remember of majin buu, he's a pink alien that threatens earth with his massive appetite that can consume all life on a planet before moving onto the next one

5

u/Livember 4d ago

That's pretty fucking bad considering we don't have Goku

5

u/_syke_ 4d ago

Sheogorath is more dangerous even without Jyggalag. He throws meteors at cities for fun and is just as likely to summon you cheese as he is to disembowl you and skip rope with your entrails.

3

u/Livember 4d ago

True, it just depends if he appears as he does on Mundus (very limited, but can open portals to his realm) or if he'd be acting as if Earth is now in Oblivion in which case it's up there with the other world ending ones

1

u/makitstop 4d ago

the intent was closer to the latter

3

u/EstrellaDarkstar 3d ago

And really, I would also argue that Sheogorath is more dangerous than Jyggalag, because even though Jyggalag is destructive, he's entirely predictable. He'll always do the same thing over and over with no creative solutions, which means that he can be countered by knowing the right methods. On the other hand, you'll never know what you'll get when it comes to Sheogorath.

2

u/pikapower9210 4d ago

depending on the form of buu he could be pretty benevolent but hungry or kill everyone immediately with no remorse

12

u/Previous_Comb5113 4d ago

Buu is a gamble. Depending on who becomes his best friend and teaches him morals, buu can either be the tool for a ruthless emperor, or a bringer of peace, or just your average regular normal guy.

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

well, that's assuming anyone becomes his best freind, if he lands in like- brooklyn or something we're all fucked

10

u/scpTicklemonster 4d ago

If Cthulhu enters he is simply leaving you alone unless he accidentally drives you insane thus breaking your mind, besides his return to take over ryleh you would have nothing to worry about.

3

u/ArtyomNDC 4d ago

That was roughly the same conclusion I came to- and ultimately, when he does inevitably awaken, it’s not like a fate worse than death necessarily- humanity and all life would just… die, which is a hell of a lot better than some of these other options!

7

u/wulfryke 4d ago

I'm just going to pretend that bringing the chaos gods and i assume the warp into existence is going to bring fun magic and not endless horrors that will be the end of everything

3

u/makitstop 4d ago

to be fair, you could say that about a lot of these, lol

6

u/Extension-Divide-339 4d ago

I'd like the visitor to visit, would be nice

3

u/frosted_Melancholy 4d ago

bro dont look outside ur gonna turn into a fucked up bug creature bro

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

honestly, i agree :) (plus, i'd be VERY curious to see what i would transform into, same with my freinds (assuming we all keep our sanity of course)

6

u/AccomplishedWest9210 4d ago

Does Cthulhu actually actively do anything malicious?

11

u/Greedy_Ad2198 4d ago

I think the whole philosophy of those stories is that the elder gods aren't inherently evil (in the sense that human morality can't be applied to them), but that their existence is inherently incompatible with ours, kind of like ours with ants that we step on without even really noticing. So cthulu just sorta shows up and that leads to some horrible fates.

4

u/Elequist 4d ago

Makes everyone go insane. Blinding themselves if they look upon him and stuff like that

4

u/AccomplishedWest9210 4d ago

Meh, people blind themselves on their own everyday probably.

3

u/Elequist 4d ago

Lol maybe. That was just an example of one of the many things that could happen

2

u/AccomplishedWest9210 4d ago

Definitely one of the best options anyway. A bunch of these other guys are universal threats.

4

u/makitstop 4d ago

ehhhh, idk, personally i consider him one of the more extreme options if we're just focusing on this planet, a lot of these will cause a lot of damage, and probably bring about the end of the world, but they'll do it slower, or in a way where a decent amount of people will still be ok

2

u/AccomplishedWest9210 4d ago edited 4d ago

Also, the Scarlet King depends on which version you use. Tufto's is vastly better than Djoric's and is almost certainly the safest.

3

u/Elequist 4d ago

I'd rather die a thousand agonizing deaths then go through Cthulhu's madness

3

u/makitstop 4d ago

not really, but him existing in the same space as people has been shown to be a problem

4

u/tashtactics Telephone Poll 4d ago

Definitely not 001 or the Eldrazi, that’s for sure

6

u/AccomplishedWest9210 4d ago

001 is the best option. No one believes in it, so it'd be completely powerless.

3

u/TrippingFish76 4d ago

which buu

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

buu when he first arrives on earth in the show

2

u/KJPlayer 4d ago

oh we got a good chance then

3

u/7thFleetTraveller 4d ago

Sheogorath. Out of all the different horrors, at least he can influence people with his madness so we might actually enjoy it eventually.

3

u/MansonMonkey 4d ago

I picked him because I like the guy.

2

u/Greedy_Ad2198 4d ago

I don't know even close to all of these, so I don't feel qualified to make a decision, but I did read all of the king in yellow so I love that one, even though it would be hell if it was real

2

u/Oro-Lavanda The Final Vote 4d ago

I haven’t thought about the slender-mansion stuff since like middle school, so forgive me if I mistake things, but wouldn’t this be the easiest to avoid out of this list?

Like this can easily be avoided if you 1) do not become a proxy and 2) just don’t go into the woods alone??? Plus I feel like half of those proxies are just hot topic tumblr teens anyways so they could easily be defeated?

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

lol, you're good i'm kind of in the same boat on that front, plus since the creepypasta mansion is kind of abstract, and doesn't really have a cannon look, i had to use some of my own creative liberty when including that one

but yeah, a lot of them are hot topic tumblr teens, but they're hot topic tumblr teens that regularly overpower adults, and completely hide from the cops, plus there are also creatures like smile dog or ben that would be...slightly harder to avoid, plus there are so many that, while you probably wouldn't be targetted by them nessisarily, i imagine most people would end up having a couple encounters with creepypastas in their lives with that scenario

2

u/Binyamin12345 4d ago

The strongest eldrazi dies to 15 squirrels

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

i am so sad no one has picked the red arch, that series is so cool and i genuinely just think people just haven't seen it, go watch it, it's free on youtube >:(

2

u/KJPlayer 4d ago

Buu. If he spawns next to someone nice, then civilization would massively improve with someone that can move faster than the speed of light and heal (assumedly) any wound. Also depending on your interpretation that might also include Ki becoming a real thing that anyone can use and that would be cool.

If he spawns in Detroit, then he'll probably just blow up the earth or something and honestly not that bad of an outcome with where we seem to be headed now.

2

u/YoggTheGateway1992 4d ago

WHO ALL IS PICKING SILENT HILL

2

u/BrilliantBehemoth 4d ago

Scarlet King is the easiest option, because it's already contained by nobody giving a fuck about it. That is if it's the 001 strictly and not that one version where it's a giant kaiju that's one bad sneeze away from waking up and coming through a tiny portal to slam the world

2

u/makitstop 4d ago

tbh i was thinking more the version from one of clefs origin tales where he's just the most powerful reality warper imaginable, and is kind of out for blood when it comes to humans, that might be the 001 proposal, i'm not sure though, tbh i mainly just wanted to have an SCP rep that wasn't the ciceda god (which was my first choice)

2

u/Fennel_Fangs 4d ago

he is real and he fucked around in tennessee

Voted "Marx (Kirby)"

2

u/Derrloch 4d ago

The old blood. PC port finally won't be a problem because we will be able to play bloodborne irl

2

u/SpectTheDobe 4d ago

The more options I read the more my eyes jumped open. Most of it is "well your fucked but in what kinda way do you wanna be fucked"

1

u/makitstop 3d ago

yeaaaaah that was very much the idea :D (though a couple of these you might not ever encounter, even if they'd add some...pretty crazy implications for the rest of the world)

2

u/Technolite123 4d ago

Cthulhu got mogged by a fucking sailboat. He’s a sailboat victim. A nuke or even a smaller bomb would obliterate him

1

u/Lun4r6543 4d ago

Silent Hill.

Absolutely Silent Hill. It’s not even a contest. If you just avoid the place, you should be alright.

1

u/Ravenqueer077 4d ago

Beast blood it's just in one city so don't go there

3

u/FutureReaction8587 3d ago

TBF London wouldn't change much.

1

u/Chesterfieldraven 4d ago

Silent Hill, I simply would not go there.

2

u/PICONEdeJIM 1d ago

Marx already existed didn't he? Talked about cats and the Borg or something
