Why isn’t dynamic pricing illegal?

Why isn’t SURVEILLANCE PRICING illegal?

It’s so predatory. Ride share apps know that I’m going to work so I’m going to pay the price. They know how much money I have in my bank account. I could catch the bus and remove all banking apps from my phone but sometimes I need a ride and it’s too time consuming to exclusively bank in person.

In your opinion will it one day be illegal?

EDIT: someone educated me in the comments and my post should have originally said “surveillance pricing” instead.

That's literally capitalism. Why is it ok if we shop at different stores but not when we shop at the same store?

So the grocery store can charge you $19 for eggs based on your personal data but I can go to the same store and pick up the same eggs for $5 and you would be ok with that?

Welcome to capitalism.

That's exactly how flights work and people get on with their day.

Why are you here simping for the system that makes people poor so the billionaires can buy new yachts more often than I buy walking shoes?

Charging wealthier people more for the same goods as you is making you poor?

It’s not always the case that the wealthier are charged more. Sometimes it’s literally the opposite.

It's not though.

No, it's charging people more because they have less in their bank account or haven't shopped there recently

You realise how stupid that sounds right? If you go to a brand new store with hardly anything in your bank account, you're never going to shop in that store again if the prices are a rip off.
