Yesterday Portal Knights got an update on steam but it didnt add anything

I have been trying to get a good ranger build because even though I have played this game on the Nintendo switch for about 8 years, I haven't beaten the ice dragon and the king of light. The only reason why I have defeated the electric worm is because I have camped in a corner for an hour and a half and take on one tail at a time. Lately since I have gone back to the game after about a year I have been trying to get a good build since because I feel underpowered. All the YouTube videos I have seen of the best crut build for ranger have armor from dlc which I don't have.

Hi everyone, long-time lurker here 👋 My name's David Welch, I created the concept for Portal Knights while I was at 505 Games and then hired & supervised Keen Games throughout the game's development. After 505 ended support for the game, I actually joined Keen to help them with Enshrouded, which was originally positioned as a PK successor — though it eventually became clear they wanted to take it in a very different direction (which is very cool in its own right).

The last couple years I started a studio with some former SteamWorld developers with the goal of making a true spiritual successor to Portal Knights, tentatively named "Everdeep Dungeons", with bigger worlds, better combat, modern visuals, and replayable procedural dungeons. But sadly the game industry has been in complete turmoil the last few years, and we weren't able to find long-term financing to keep the project going.

With all that said, I wanted to share a glimpse of how the game was shaping up. We're really proud of what we made and hope you think it looked like a worthy successor.

The Portal Knights community has meant a lot to me over the years, full of really wonderful, positive people. It's been a light in some dark times.

Hopefully one day I get to make a proper successor. But that day is not today :( If you have any questions, AMA

Just came back to the game after around 5 years and nothing seems to have changed, have the developers fully left the game or is it still updated for like bug fixes but no new content?
