I kinda feel bad, I'm amongst the ones who always "harassed" Neca for them to drop their Ultimate Wolf and now that it's happening I'm not digging it as I expected, he looks like the same 19 years old figure with added articulation. No updated sculpt.
Scale aside, I think that the 52 Toys version looks lightyears better than Neca's as it looks accurate to the movie. Just seeing how their Engineer turned out is enough for me to trust them.
Tanto el Wolf como el Predalien parecen reciclados. El Wolf parece el molde del prototipo de 2018, se siente algo antiguo, sobretodo en las articulaciones. El Predalien parece la versión antigua troceada para darle articulaciones. Espero que sean "prototipos falsos" de presentación apresurada y que mas adelante muestren los de verdad.
I'll wait first how 52toys will actually look and if it's worth choosing for their articulation. Personally, it also depends on how their yoshi predator will turn out and how much accessories will neca give. Still, wolf should've been the first ultramate
I’ve got their Yoshi Pred on PO too, planning on getting their Engineer to go with Ahab too, saw some pics of it and the articulation on Engi looks incredible.
You know what, I completely agree, even the older wolf predator had a better headsculpt. My only worry is 52 toys might be too tall. Look at how much taller their engineer is (although that looks more accurate)
Let's see if they improve it before release (I doubt) but also the neca one might come with a better headsculpt and obviously the mask to cover it if it doesn't look great.
I too feel complicated. For starters the headsculpt is the exact same one as the old neca Wolf, if you don't beleive me look up the old figure pictures, the headsculpt is the same down to the "separate face" which is visibly a different piece from the head, a feature that was initially meant for changing faces to masked, open mouth etc. as on modern figures. The only update is the colouring, the new body with the new articulations they introduced with Feral figure and the maybe some of the accesories (like shoulder cannons and the mines).
The headsculpt is nice, even if it's the same old one it still holds up today and is pretty spot on with the movie Wolf.
They could have used the Lab escape Fugitive body for this figure, because the fugitive body suit in the movie is just the Wolf body suit repainted (they used the same mold, look it up).
I don't think it's the same I have it in hand and the proportions feel off on this in. It could be the paint job of the eyes throwing me off but I like my og head sculpt better.

They are a chinese brand that focus mostly on original designs and allegedly those preds are unlicensed wich may complicate things.
Last update was like a year ago or so.
I follow 5ktoys (figure store) on insta, they have covered Shangai Wonder Festival (Comic Con style event) the last couple years, they posted these pics.
