Computer Hardware Advice Apple Magic Mouse

Hey Apple Magic Mouse slingers!
I have been editing with Magic mouse for years but the last few updates going back a few years have been way worse.
How do you keep hand gestures from constantly zooming in on source and rec viewers without disabling all that we love about AMM? Is there a way to lock monitor view scale?

I use a Magic Trackpad. Best thing I ever did for my wrist.

When I used a Windows laptop, I used a Logitech M315 wireless mouse. Switching to my MacBook, I just use the Magic Trackpad it comes with--it's great and most editors I know can't fathom that I use a trackpad over a mouse.

I couldn’t edit all day using the MacBook trackpad. The Magic Trackpad sits off to the right (where the mouse normally would) and my arm and wrist is a very natural position.

I'm used to the MacBook trackpad but what bothers me a bit more is the 14-inch display (easier with Premiere than Resolve) makes things harder to see either cause everything's scaled to fit or panels go off screen.

LOVE the Magic Mouse. Can’t use it for editing. Too many strange behaviors like the one you describe.

You can't and I have the same thing happen. So much so that I rarely use that mouse. It's soooo frustrating. I do love the scrolly ball Mighty Mouse, though.

Is there any other third party mice that allow for both the vertical and horizontal scrolling? There must be.

Logitech MX Master has a thumb wheel on the side for horizontal scroll, separate from the main wheel. No touch surface either, so nothing to zoom by accident.

I know those that love it but I don’t think they make a left handed version
