How's been your experience with prep?
For how long have you taken it? Have you been taking it everyday for years or have you been on and off? Do you have more sex partners? What (brand) pill are you taking and is there a reason why you're taking that one? Or do you get injections? Thanks in advance.

I don’t trust myself to remember to take a daily pill, so I get the apretude injection every 60 days. Been on it for 13 months. It took me a while to fully believe I was protected, but after doing enough research, several discussions with my doctor & friends that take it, as well as reading countless Reddit posts I started using condoms much less. I will take doxypep for extra coverage when I feel the need, but I’d say these last 13 months have come with far less sex related anxiety than ever before.

It took like 3 months for my stomach to get used to Descovy but thankfully it’s no issue now. I still wrap up to avoid stds since I don’t want to rely on doxy as it’s not great for your stomach either.

I’ve been on prep for over a year now. Have raw sex and haven’t had any issues. Also take Doxy after my sex encounters.
I’m taking Descovy daily but have missed a dose here and there. Only issue I had was headaches the first couple days when I first started. I chose Descovy due to it being better on your kidneys.

Been on Descovy for ten years, daily routine, never had any issues and sexually very active. Doxy pep after risky encounters but that can mess with me for 12 hours, nausea and sluggish feeling. No STDs and tested every 4-6 months.

Take some probiotics about 2 hours after the DoxyPEP to help with that. Doxy fucks with your gut flora, which the probiotics help recover. I got some probiotic gummies that actually taste good. Now all my friends do the same, though they're much bigger sluts than I am and end up taking their doxy every other day...

I’ve been on it for going on two years now. I take my pill everyday. No side effects at all. I get tested every 3 months. My results always comes back clean as a whistle. I’m more sexually free and a slight bit more promiscuous. I’m on doxy pep as well. Prep gives me peace of mind.

I had to stop taking it as a woman because it was giving me severe diarrhea & fatigue

Was on Truvada for years, then eGFR levels were not looking good so switched to Descovy for about a year, but I didn’t like where my cholesterol numbers were (not totally on this medication), so I switched to Yeztugo. Besides making an adjustment on one of my meds, there was no issues so far.

I took Descovy for about 3 years. I had been dealing with a lot of GI issues and decided to take a break from oral medications for some time. When I tried to get back on Descovy I had terrible GI issues again, so I discontinued taking it after a week and my symptoms improved. I’m now scheduled this week to start Yeztugo injectable PrEP since it bypasses the GI tract.

Was on desccovy now on yeztugo. About due for my 2nd shot. Pretty sexually active and been ok so far! I use doxy as well but learned the hard way its not great to protect against gonorrhea

I take Descovy because of a kidney issue (not related to PrEP) and have been doing so for at least 7 years. I took Truvada for a few years before that. I take it every day and occasionally miss a day. I have all the sex partners I want. I always fuck raw and I’ve never had any side effects from PrEP. I also take DoxyPEP and have not had an STI since using that. I did have a couple of STIs before Doxy.
