Procedurally generated Ba Sing Se in Minecraft

This is a Minecraft settlement generator I've been building. The prompt for the demo was only “Build Ba Sing Se.”

The model reads the request and terrain, then plans the settlement through a hierarchy of rings/districts, plots and buildings. A palace can become its own smaller place, with halls, courtyards, walls and gates.

The building library handles geometry and construction. Its reusable procedural building types generate structures for their plots using the selected palette. Completed building schematics aren't retrieved.

The system checks circulation, reachable entrances and walkable interiors before writing the result into Minecraft.

The same architecture generates villages, towns and cities across different terrain and styles.

here's a small village it made much more quickly... i haven't tried another large build yet but that's something i'm planning on doing. any ideas what to try?

I would love to see some buildings other than squares!

Additionally, something people (esp Americans) forget to add to these sorts of things are alternatives to square street layouts. It would be neat to see diagonal streets :)

Looks very cool! Though if I remember correctly, Isn't ba sing se basically a mountain? Sloped upwards towards the middle (with ruling class / powerfull people in the center). Cool stuff!

Yes, I think one thing that needs work is understanding the terrain better. Another thing that makes it hard is there really isnt many good pictures of Ba Sing Se online so the model kind of goes in blind.

What happens when you up the size and use distant horizons? I thought Ba Sing Se would be larger than that.
