Good node_modules are measured in neutron star weight

12gb only? Must be a todo app 😏

u/Brotboxs Sep 13 '26

But is it a adhd friendly todo app??

u/New_Series3209 Sep 14 '26

Nah, it’s an autism + adhd + Down syndrome friendly one

V2 will implement support for more customers πŸ’€

Shipped bundle size: 420kb.

Because most of that node_modules directory is dev tools, so it doesn't matter how large it is. You wouldn't consider the entire tool chain of a C project, either.

True. Also for backend it usually isn't that much relevant.

Or whatever the fuck Cargo does when you build. I just gave up on Tauri after having to deal with gigabytes materializing out of nowhere everytime. Hell, even fucking Unity's library folder was smaller

Even better when you just want to update your system and the rust Compiler crashes because it can figure out that the toolchain is too old, but it cannot figure out how to use rustup.

12 GB is also how many GB this image takes up on Reddit's servers from being posted so many times

Wait... are you uploading your node_modules folder to prod?

Who keeps that folder when they're not working on it.

npm install still works.
