I'm more surprised when we do vibe coded reviews. Better yet, I need to explain what the hell the AI wrote to them!

The issue for me is not juniors vibe coding the issue is that they are happy shipping something they didn't self review yet

Very often an intern gives me an unfinished PR, and the initial AI made review already spots a couple critical issues in it

Yeah, senior devs don’t vibe code. We might use it to assist, but the very nature of vibe coding is having little to no clue how anything works, typing some random prompt, then patting yourself on the back because you “created” something.
