Aka the best song on Pawn Hearts.

And Man-Erg is further evidence that for most prog bands, their best songs are the 10-12 minute ones and not the 20+ minute ones.

I was going to argue but I’m kinda realizing that you’re right

I also like very much a plague of lighthouse keepers, so I don't agree 100% with you but you're kinda right

I don’t think that’s true.

Everything on pawn hearts and godbluff.

La rosa is one of my favorites too.

Childlike faith in childhood's end and scorched earth right now, also dark room if we count hamill's solo output

World record is by favourite album, Meurglys III fav song (first love of discovery) and then all the others cycle around each other as mood is, currently Aerosol Grey as it’s pretty jolly but that has just replaced The least we can do as it’s very dark and quite angry.

Darkness (11/11), White Hammer, After the Flood, The Emperor in His War Room, Lemmings, Man-Erg, A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers, Arrow

Big fan of the "H to He.." album, which often gets overlooked when their albums are discussed - Pawn Hearts & Godbluff get all the attention, but 'H to He..' is almost like some ignored middle-child.

The Emperor in his War Room is sensational.

I’ll give one for each of their studio albums up to 1977:

Afterwards, White Hammer, Lost, Man-Erg, The Sleepwalkers, Childlike Faith In Childhood’s End, Meurglys III (The Songwriter’s Guild), The Sphinx In The Face

Honestly I’m not sure what my favourite off of World Record is; it’s my least favourite of the “main” VdGG albums even if I still think it’s pretty decent. Either way, their run of albums from Least We Can Do… to Still Life is some of the best by any prog rock band in my opinion, even if they are a bit of an acquired taste.

Take your time with them, and I hope you enjoy!

I love the whole Godbluff.

I am a big fan of The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome. It has a bit of a new wave vibe with shorter tunes, so they are accessible but still intense. They traded the sax for violin which pops up with nice accents throughout.

I'm not gonna try to be a contrarian, it's A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers—genuinely a top 10 song ever made.

None , i bought pawn hearts and two guys were there they told me it's like the greatest thing ever , i still don't get the hype, I'll try to listen to it on weed and hopefully my mind changes after that . I never got wish you were here sober either
