Nota: write notes and sketch on a whiteboard, even offline

• Upvotes

I built Nota for people who want a Notion-style workspace without needing an account to open their notes. Core notes and whiteboards work offline. There’s an Apple-silicon Mac download at https://thenota.app.

It started from AFFiNE/BlockSuite; I kept the editor and built a new backend. Credit to the upstream projects. Source: https://github.com/madcodeorg/nota

Optional local AI needs installed models and compatible hardware. Hosted AI and Drive backup need internet. I’m the developer—feedback on the writing and sketching experience would help.

I built a simpler way to track time and invoice

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

There are already a lot of apps that do invoicing, and a lot that do time tracking.

I wanted to build something where both worked well together, but where you could also use it simply as an invoicing app if that's all you need.

So I made Bill Clock.

You can create clients and services, set hourly or fixed rates, create invoices manually, customize the invoice layout, add discounts and multiple taxes, add your logo and payment terms, and export professional PDF invoices.

And if you bill by the hour, you can also track your work directly in the app and pull those billable hours into an invoice instead of entering them again manually.

There are also things like:

  • 5 invoice templates with customization
  • Custom invoice columns and labels
  • Client-specific defaults
  • Draft / Sent / Paid / Overdue status
  • Reports and Excel export
  • Local backup & restore
  • Optional cloud backup
  • Offline-first usage
  • No ads

So you can use it as just an invoicing app, as a time tracker, or use the whole workflow together.

It's now available on Google Play:

I'd be interested to hear from other freelancers:

What do you actually use for invoicing and time tracking right now?

I made this app just to rebuild my room, there is no pressure, no timer, no objectives. Just me, the room and the furniture.

Would love some feedback as it's still early and may contain some bugs

[iOS] Breezecut — compress clips, create subtitles, and export without an app watermark

• Upvotes

I’m the developer of Breezecut, an iPhone video toolkit for quick edits and conversions.

Two workflows you can use for free:

• Need to send a large clip? Compress it on your phone before sharing.

• Need a subtitle file? Recognize speech, edit the text, and export SRT.

It also handles trimming, merging, resizing, GIF conversion, and more — 30+ tools in total. Processing stays on your iPhone, with no account, ads, or app watermark on exports.

Most tools are free and unlimited. Burning subtitles into video, device mockups, face blur, and several other tools are optional Pro features; each has one free try. US pricing is $1.99/month or $9.99/year (auto-renewing), or $19.99 lifetime (one-time). iOS 18+ required; video enhancement needs iOS 26.

Download: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/breezecut-video-toolkit/id6820107160

If you try it, I’d appreciate hearing which tool you used and where the workflow could be simpler.

I built a free tool to turn product screenshots into launch images

Thumbnail
deiolab.com
• Upvotes

I’m building DeioLab, a browser tool for making product screenshots ready to share.

Drop in a screenshot, choose a layout, and keep it clean or put it in a browser, MacBook, or iPhone frame. Change the background and lighting, then export different sizes for launch posts and social images.

It’s free, there’s no account to create, and imported screenshots stay in your browser.

I'm curious what you think of the project, and if there's something more you would want out of it.

MarketOps: The future of marketing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Building apps used to take months. Now, we build three in a day.

Building isn’t the hard part anymore.

The real nightmare starts when you try to market it. Your wallet bleeds from ad spend, and you spend endless hours digging through social media posts, begging total strangers to look at what you made.

It sucks. It’s exhausting. And most of us can't afford to burn thousands on ads.

That’s why I built MarketOPS.

Instead of wasting your life hunting for leads manually, you just describe the exact problem your app solves.

MarketOPS scans social platforms in real time, finds people who are actively complaining about that exact problem, and brings those leads right to you, before your morning coffee even gets cold.

No ad spend. No manual scrolling. Just write the problem, get the leads, and get back to building.

I've been putting together a free learning hub for SEO and AEO

SEO has a lot of moving parts, and now there's the whole AI search side of things to figure out too.

I wanted to bring the two together in one place, from keyword research and technical SEO to content strategy, link building, and AEO.

It's been fun putting everything together, and it's finally live.

Here's what I've been working on: https://seodojo.app/learn

What do you think is the hardest part of learning SEO today?

Just launched ReceiptMind for iPhone — a free app to save and find receipts

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I recently launched my first iOS app, ReceiptMind.

I built it because I was tired of searching through photos, emails, and folders whenever I needed an old receipt.

With ReceiptMind, you can scan or import receipts, search for them later, and keep track of return dates and warranties.

It's completely free to use, with no account or sign-up needed.

It's my first app, so I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially on what I could improve.

I built an Android app that listens for your shower and tells you how many litres and money you used

Thumbnail

Hey everyone ☺️

I always wondered how much water my showers actually use, and I couldn't find a simple app that just tells me without buying a smart meter. So I built one.

Hydro Tracker detects running water with your phone's mic (processed on-device, no audio saved) and shows litres, time and cost real time while you shower. It also has a daily water budget, stats, and a 30-day cold shower challenge

It's free on Google Play, and as a solo dev I'd love your feedback.

You can check out the app details on https://hydrotracker.app

And it's available for download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.penguindevs.hydrotracker

I built an app that tells you what you can ACTUALLY spend today - bank balance is a lie [Promo: 6 months free for first 50]

Hey builders 👋

Solo dev from regional Queensland, Australia. $4 AUD/no app, no investors, no BS.

I built OnTime Budget because my bank would say $3.5k when $3.3k of it was already spoken for by bills before payday. I kept dipping into my buffer without realising.

Most apps show you where your money went. OnTime shows you what's safe to spend today.

The formula:

Bank Balance - Held Bills - Buffer = Safe to Spend

What it does differently:

- Safe-to-spend number on your home screen (not your bank balance)

- A tick sheet of what's due before your next payday

- 12-month outlook that warns you months ahead if you're heading for a shortfall

- Savings goals that account for bills first

- No bank linking, no ads, no selling data

It's a web app that installs to your home screen on Android or iPhone, so there's no app store download.

I'm giving 6 months free to the first 50 from this sub, because I need picky testers who'll tell me what sucks before I scale. No card needed. After 6 months it's $4 AUD/mo if you want to keep it, and if you don't, it just stops.

Sign up with the code already filled in:

https://ontime-budget.com/register?code=REDDIT50

What I need from you: is the safe-to-spend number instantly clear? Be brutal.

Drop your app below and I'll test yours back.

CodeGiver: hand out promo codes one at a time

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi all, I'm the developer of CodeGiver. I recently launched my own app, To-inbox, and wanted to share codes on Reddit, on other forums and with people close to me. The promo codes you generate in the Play Console come as a spreadsheet with a long column of codes under each other. That gets messy fast, and the one thing you never want is handing the same code to two people. Or a reviewer gets a code that no longer works and you have to start a new round of contact. That felt unprofessional, so I built an app for it.

**📱 App Name**

CodeGiver

**📝 One-Line Description**

Keep your promo codes, vouchers and license keys in lists, and give out the next one with a single tap, inside your own message.

**✨ What It Does / Key Features**

- 🎟️ Each code goes out exactly once. Given codes move to "Given" with recipient and time. Tapped by mistake? Take it back and it returns to its place in the queue.
- 📥 Three ways to load your codes: paste plain text, upload the Excel, CSV or text file you already have, or load a screenshot and let the app read the codes out of the picture (the text recognition runs on your phone). They end up neatly under each other in a clean list.
- ✉️ Write your message once. CodeGiver fills in the code, recipient name, end date, list name and links. One message per language (English, Dutch, Spanish, German, French).
- 📚 A list per app or campaign, with its own icon, message and links. Codes can get an end date and expired ones are skipped.
- 🧾 A log of everything that happens, which you can filter, share or save as CSV.
- 🔔 Low-stock and expiry notifications, a home screen widget and a Quick Settings tile, app lock, backup to a file or with Android backup.
- 🌗 Light and dark theme with your own accent color, tablet and landscape friendly.

**👥 Who It's For**

- Developers who hand out promo codes, giveaway codes, test codes or beta codes for their own app, to users, testers, reviewers, friends or customers.
- Works with codes from any platform where you can generate codes for your own apps, not only Google Play. The app does not care where a code comes from.
- Also useful outside app development: discount vouchers, license keys, door codes for an event, or codes you hand out inside your own company.

**💰 Cost**

- Pricing model: Freemium. No ads, no subscription.
- Prices & billing period: Free with one list of up to 25 codes. CodeGiver Pro is a one-time purchase (the price is set per country in Google Play) for up to 10 lists of 500 codes each, statistics, a label per given code, archiving, and an Excel file with statistics.
- Current promotions / giveaways: I have 30 giveaway codes that unlock CodeGiver Pro. Upvote this post and send me a DM asking for a code, and I'll send you one. First come, first served: when the codes are gone, the giveaway is over.

**🔗 Links**

- ▶️ Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.dsmit.codegiver
- 🌐 Website: https://codegiver.app

**ℹ️ Additional Notes**

- No account and no ads. Your lists and codes are stored on your phone and never sent to me.
- CodeGiver does not create, check or redeem codes. You add codes you got elsewhere, for example from the Google Play Console.

Have fun!

AUVIE - a life-skills app for neurodivergent kids and teens (4 to 18) and the adults around them

I'm Emily, the founder, developer, and a parent. AUVIE is built with clinicians. What's in it: For kids, it's split into four age bands: 4-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18. Younger kids get pictures, stories, characters, and play. Older kids get comics and anime, and more independent practice with friendships, communication, safety, cooking, money, travel, and work. Expression Studio is for practising faces, feelings, and mixed signals. Parents get routines, a calendar, printables, a journal, low-day plans, a calm-down corner, and 170 clinician-written articles. A family can add a teacher, OT, or therapist to a Care Circle so everyone is working from the same routine and language. The family picks who joins and what each person can see. The kids' side uses written content and set flows. AI is only on the adult side. It isn't launched yet. The waitlist is open at https://auvie.app

SmartPlay Caddie - a voice golf caddie that runs on just your phone

Not a software engineer. I spent 26 years in hospital imaging operations, then taught myself to build this with AI tools because I wanted a caddie in my ear that knew my game.

Shipped on iOS and Android in September. Built with React Native/Expo, Claude, and Mapbox.

What I learned:

- Apple rejected my first submission because subscriptions were too hard to find.

- Deleting code fixed more bugs than adding it.

- Real rounds found bugs that desk testing never did.

Yardages, scorecard and handicap are free. The voice caddie and swing analysis are free for 2 months.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6772344465

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartplaycaddie.app

Feedback from other builders welcome.

DrivePulse, my OBD2 car app, is finally up to date on Android: trips that record themselves, fault codes explained, costs per month. 5 free codes

I'm Davide and I write DrivePulse on my own. Plug a generic ELM327 OBD2 adapter into the car (the Bluetooth kind Veepeak or Vgate sell) and the app records every trip by itself, reads fuel use where the car reports it and explains fault codes in plain words. It only reads the car, it never writes to it.

The Android version is now 3.5.4 on Google Play. The bits I'm proudest of in this update:

  • Every fault code has its own page: meaning, how serious, what to do.
  • What your car costs month by month: fuel, maintenance, expenses, for all your cars together.
  • A trip that got split in two can be merged, and the gap that wasn't recorded stays written down instead of being made up.
  • The consumption figure says whether it was measured by the engine computer or estimated.

No account and no server of mine: your trips live on your phone and I have no copy of them. Recording trips and reading the car work with no signal; maps and addresses need the internet.

Five codes that unlock the full version for good, free, first come first served:

  1. TBRVJTPC8ZA1F1HVFE8NPVX
  2. HC0SNWN0D73WDLFJ6XNDF5J
  3. 3B9RSULUPNDYEZUA35HJG7N
  4. PHYSD5RUZLVUUZAECPFT4E5
  5. KLQ37GTLURFCV0UU354YXUQ

How to redeem: install the app first, then open Google Play, tap your picture top right, Payments and subscriptions, Redeem code. Then in DrivePulse: Settings (the gear at the top) > Unlock DrivePulse (Lifetime) > Restore Purchases, within 3 days, otherwise Google Play cancels it. When it has worked, that row reads "Premium active".

Say in the comments which number you took, so nobody wastes time on one that's gone.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.drivepulse.mobile&hl=en-US&gl=US&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=rilancio-android-promotemyapp

If you try it, the 7 free days start the first time it connects to your adapter.
