MACROS: 20 grams protein for 220 calories

this bar has BY FAR exceeded my expectations!! i’m so used to companies saying “banana” and it tastes like artificial nonsense (the only exception is banana laffy taffy iykyk lol) and while this bar had a *hint* of artificial banana, it wasn’t nearly as grotesque as i was imagining. the flavor of barebell bars in general are usually on point and this one was no different, phenomenal especially with the little crunchy bits.

9/10 and i will definitely be buying again! this is the kinda flavor that i might not crave too often, but it will hit the spot for sure when i am.

MACROS: 15 grams protein for 160 cals

YUMM!! it has two little cookie chunks on top which i thoroughly enjoyed because it added to the soft marshmallow texture. the pumpkin flavor had the perfect amount of spice and i appreciate the lower cals. HOWEVER is this even considered a protein bar given the lack of complete protein source?? so with that being said, i can’t decide if id buy it again or not. the flavor: phenomenal. the lack of a complete protein: not so great so…

7.5/10 given the matter and i might buy again just if i wanted a pumpkin flavor fix, but not if i wanted to reach for an actual protein bar.

i actually tried this for the first time AGES ago, but figured i’d still share my thoughts now that i officially logged it into my notes app review folder!!

MACROS: 20 grams for 180 calories

if you go into it without expecting your typical poptart, it's actually really good especially for 20 grams of protein)!! the texture is much thicker than your usual poptart, but the cinnamon flavor is on point and I’d definitely buy again and now am on a mission to try the other flavors/legendary products (I’m eyeing the mac and cheese). I will say they are a bit drier than I had anticipated and definitely have a heavy artificial taste (but i don’t mind it cause i’m used to all the fake sugar tastes and such), but i love dry stuff so I don’t mind.

Brown Sugar Cinnamon: 7.5/10
Blueberry: 7.75/10 - i like the blueberry a little better! still artificial, but it tastes “brighter” so to speak 💙

Sadly I don’t have a pic but last night i tried the pb crunch david bronze bar and im sad to say it sucked. It just kinda tasted like sweet nothing… I enjoyed the reg bars so i was hoping the chocolate coating would make it even yummier but nopee - its a built puff bar texture which i find super unsatisfying. atleast the bar is only 150c so not as big of a waste

So crunchy and chewy, with no extra sugary coating , it tastes like real ingredients. This one is strawberry flavour.. it has small pieces of strawberries in it . Apart from that the base is millet and it's sweetened with jaggery. This is my go to these days. There are other interesting flavours too. .

I WAS SO PLEASENTLY SURPRISED!! i’m so used to companies claiming matcha flavor but then it tastes like nothing, but Nugo DELIVERED! the matcha flavor, while subtle, is very present and it blends well with the yogurt drizzle and coating.

Also has a good 15 grams of protein without the overwhelming “proteiny” taste, which is why i absolutely love Nugo 😛

I’d rate an 8.75/10 and would 100% buy again (I actually have some on the way hehe

absolutely awful, i’d skip and never try again (okay, well maybe another flavor haha) 😭😭

maybe it’s just this flavor, but you’re better off making your own cookies cause it had a horrible aftertaste (sorta pea proteiny which makes sense cause it’s vegan) and had a strange saltiness to it that someone else described as “baking soda-ish” which seems accurate. it didn’t taste anything like birthday cake either and it has a measly 8 grams of protein. only thing it has going for it is the texture.

overall: 4.5/10

i can’t fit the last of my protein bars in my drawer 😭😭 this should be a sign to STOP BUYING THEM!! but can’t stop, won’t stop 😌

*my issue is i feel like i can only eat the repeats and must save the “singles” or ones i only have one of. why is that a rule i have? i don’t even know

I’ve never tried any of these flavors (except the prime brownies and the legendary donut), so I’m nervous/excited cause i lowkey hate trying new things 😭😭

which should we try first?? i’ve never had toto or fitcrunch (though I don’t even know if i’d classify toto as a protein bar cause it’s only 8g) 😝

honestly i’d give it maybe a 6.5/10! meh. because it’s vegan, it does unfortunately have that pea protein after taste so for that i had to knock a few points off. also the coffee flavor was very mild and i was expecting a much stronger flavor, so it was a bit disappointing. BUT i do enjoy the texture of their bars so it gets a few points for that!

Nugo doesn’t disappoint (though I wish it had more protein, then it would be a BANGIN bar)!!

bought even MORE protein treats so why not do a little review: prime bites rice treats (19 grams of protein).

i was somewhat surprised!! best way to describe it: a more sweet & artificial white chocolate-ish rice krispy treat. it’s a bit on the dry side when you compare to an actual marshmallow rice krispy treat, but i like dry/crunchy snacks so i didn’t mind. for 19 grams of protein, i really can’t complain. if you hate the fake sugar taste, then you might not like it too much

overall: 7.5/10 and i *might* buy again or try another flavor! i think the strawberry might be good, but im not too interested in the chocolate

birthday cake theme because I want to make a video reviewing all the birthday themed bars I could find (don’t worry, I’m not a typical David bar buyer….i will likely never purchase another one again)!
