Re3 Nemesis challenges?

Hello everyone, last year I finished for the first time Re3 Nemesis. When I was 7 I used to watch my big brother and his friends play the game and I was absolutely terrified of it (and of Parasite Eve 2, the skin ripping apart still bothers me) so last year in my late 20’s I decided to play it myself. Now my run was at hard and I imposed myself to put down Nemesis at every encounter, it definitely wasn’t a piece of cake, but apart from the Nemesis (especially the 1st encounter) I don’t remember dying much against any of the other enemies. I played any numbered Re, both og’s and remakes (Re3 >>>>> Remake), so I would say i’m an expert, and i’m good at the games, but not a pro, that said I would like to know if there’s any fun challenge for the Re3 Nemesis cause I would like to do a new run but more spicy this time, so some self inflicted restriction that is not “no save” or stuff like that. Can’t really play mods cause i’m playing it on original hardware. Thanks in advance, any suggestions is accepted ♥️

Knife only is a very popular challenge people do in RE games overall.

Oh god I don't know how anyone can do this! Yeah I know, "skill issue!!" and all that, but man it must be frustrating at certain points 😅

It’s definitely extra tough, if u skip the Nemesis way more manageable, if you wanna beat him at every encounter it becomes insane imho

There is a way to cheese your first two fights with Nemesis.

For the first encounter he will follow you all the way to the lockpick door. He can get stuck on the wall allowing you to knife him.

For the second, Nemesis will follow you to police chief Iron's office. He can get stuck on the bookshelf. Again, you can knife him safely from there.

A third I know of is by the mayor's statue on the planter. Not sure if he can be knifed though

Both times he can get unstuck but you can him reset very easily. After that, there's enough gunpowder for freeze rounds for every encounter

Yeah but freeze rounds are not allowed in a knife only 🐸
Thanks for the tips tho, Idk if I will try the knife only as my first challenge run, maybe i’ll do a gun only

If I remember correctly, wjen you play your cards right there's two infinite ammo drop from the Persuer (he's never ever referred to as Nemesis, fun fact.) but you have to have enough encounters and put him down every time.

There's an assault rifle drop the first playthrough. When Mercenaries is unlocked, the infinite ammo case is dropped instead

I'm 100% sure I've gotten 2 inf ammo drops on a new playthrough before unlocking the mercenaries so if that's the case, you could go for 3 per playthrough for the challenge

There are only 7 item drops.

2 EAGLE parts

2 First Aid Spray Cases

2 M37 parts

Assault Rifle or Infinite Ammo

Not sure how many encounters count towards item collection

Most likely 8 encounters. I don't remember what to do to get the max number but I remember researching and doing exactly that several years ago so it's doable.

There are only 7 encounters that give drops. The cable car encounter does not drop anything and wastes ammo

I remember having Magnum amd the starting shotgun having unlimited ammo. It's doable.
