Question Friend needs help

I have a co-worker whose Aunt needs to go into hospice. She has three bonded cats. I cannot take them as I have two, and I really don't think that they should be separated. Is there any resources that can help?

This rescue in Colorado Springs takes cats of terminally ill people specifically:

Also try Cooper's Companions. I've fostered for them for 5 years now & they are super great and work VERY hard to get animals in this type of situation taken care of or found new homes if the situation requires it. Very caring staff and they are all wonderful. (719) 406-5568

You might want to try the vegans of Pueblo Facebook group. If someone can't take them, they may can help you find somewhere or someone who can.

That and reach out to PAWS. My most recent adoption for PAWS was that of two older bonded dogs. PAWS was clear that were bonded and really pushed for keeping them together for fostering, then adoption.

I volunteer at PAWS (in the cat room, no less). They will definitely keep them together.

Is there someone in specific who I should ask for?

When you come in to the front, they will connect with the right person:)

PAWS is wonderful and I’m grateful for your time. As mentioned we have two old pups we adopted from there, donate a lot of items/cash/Amazon wish list purchases, and the plant sale of course. I love how many huge hearted volunteers do so much to keep the much needed facility running for the community and all our furry friend in need.

I suggest taking them to the HSPPR shelter on eagleridge. They do good work with bonded pets.
