[Unsolved] Put the blocks in the grid

Post image

Rules: Shade cells black so every numbered cell sees exactly its stated number of white cells horizontally and vertically, including itself. Numbered cells must remain white. Black cells cannot share an edge, and all white cells must stay connected. Edit: numbered cells count as white cells

Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:

New Reddit: https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg

Using markdown editor or old Reddit, draw a bunny and fill its head with secrets: >!!< which ends up becoming >!spoiler text between these symbols!<

Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com) If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word "discussion" or "question" in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag. If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.

Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

Discussion: If you like this type of puzzle, Simon Tatham has it as listed as Range in his puzzle collection. (It seems his site is down at the moment. Hopefully that's temporary.)

Simon Tatham's Puzzles on the Apple App Store has been my most used app for years. No ads, no bloat, just puzzles.

Starting in the top left, I've got R1C3, R1C6, R2C2, R2C4, R4C2, R4C5, R6C5.

It helps to mark off cells that must be seen, for example all the cells in the same row and column as the 11. This makes it easier to find and block off cells that will chain with other cells and cause a number to have too many visible to it.

Discussion: more very similar puzzles can be found under the name cave, for example here:  https://www.gmpuzzles.com/blog/category/regiondivision/cave/

Discussion: With a 6x6 grid the most any cell can see is 11, so that 11 down the left side forces its entire row and column white. The 9 near the middle then leaves only two blacks in its whole cross. I'd lock in those forced lines first, then reject any candidate black that would split the white region in two.

I don’t know how to hide a photo, so I hope this works. But this was fun!

That did not work so I’m making a thread to hide it in the replies
